It's always possible the AVP will do a Newton.

That is, Apple introduced the Newton, a tablet computing device with a pencil, in 1993. It was a marketing failure.

The iPad was introduced 17 years later, sans pencil. It was a hit. Jobs made a big deal of not having a pencil.

Then after a few years an iPad pencil was introduced.

Sometimes it takes many years for an idea to find the right home.
The Apple of 2023 doesn’t resemble the Apple of 1993. My prediction is Vision Pro will be a massive success and the beginning of the spatial computing era.

I'm looking forward to Apple raising base memory to 16Gb in most computing products as there is no point spouting on about sustainability when they are building baseline products that may not cope with Apple's own stated aims of having gaming in its sights, let alone increased RAM requirements as software sophistication increases.

Looking forward to Apple and others not using the argument of repairability to evade having a much better longer warranty in the first place. A 5 year warranty for products demonstrates confidence in the product....a one year warranty does not.

Again that fits more with sustainability than all the blah blah from Apple and other companies PR.

M3 MAX MAC STUDIO

$2000 DEAL OF THE CENTURY

NOT PAYING $4000 PLUS FOR A MACBOOK PRO M3 MAX

Only thing on that list that might interest me is Apple Watch 10. What would interest me is a new iMac 27" or bigger. Be cool if Apple would make a NAS storage device for those who have multiple Macs that have a lot of common files. Sure there iCloud but for many work project having to pull from iCloud is a pain. Be nice to have NAS box with typical Apple make it simple interface that Macs could connect to as easily as BluTooth devices pair up. Of course have to support wired and WiFi connections.
Apple wants you to use icloud and stream stuff.

Right, so putting twice as much ram in the base model than most base model buyers need is “sustainable” and not wasteful?

So I guess everyone should just drive a V8 even if they only need 4 cylinder performance.

Which computer company in the world has a 5 year warranty?

There will be two versions of the AirPods 4 at different price points
How ridiculous. Apple yet again confusing their product lines. If you want better than AirPods, get the AirPods Pro. Are they also going to split the Pro into two separate offerings?

What are the two new AirPods going to be called? AirPods and AirPods Plus?

I don't understand this? Don't the current generation AirPods already have the shorter stems and design of the AirPods Pro? They look just like them minus the rubber ear tips and no longer look like the long stem versions from the past.
I think the inference is that future AirPod models will have an even shorter stem.

Looking forward to some streamlining. Current lineup is a mess!

Hopefully, they remove the iPad 10.2" and reduce the price of the 10th gen iPad. So we have a full transition to Fullscreen iPads with USB-C.

Hopefully, they remove the iPhone 13 and 14 from the lineup, so that all iPhones have USB-C and Dynamic Island, as this should improve adoption of the latter.

Also, the MacBook Air M1 should get dropped. As much as I love mine, it looks out of place in the current lineup and I believe it has served its course. I'm looking forward to the M3 model. Might upgrade.

Not convinced about Apple Vision Pro. I'm not going to spend 3k only to look like a complete fool. Oh, and with a wired battery hanging down my waist... No thanks!

Yes, I guess its future will depend on several key factors: apps availability, refining the hardware while also decreasing the entry price. If done right, this thing can possibly replace a Mac and an iPad for many people, as it can replace the screen and use virtual keyboards of different sizes, etc. I can see a great potential in it, but we will need to see how the launch goes.

I’d like my Apple products to work consistently as advertised. I feel that recently most of them are less reliable, more problematic and more full of bugs than an old bed. How about slowing down software updates and fixing stuff. These constant updates are doing nothing more than introducing more problems.

I think you’re onto something here with AirPods and AirPods Plus. I believe rumour has it they will launch two iPad Airs also and they already have two iPad Pros. I wouldn’t be surprised to see down the line several variations of AirPods from a “SE” to a Pro.
Come to think about it, there is a huge price gap in their offerings between the AirPod Pro and AirPod Max so they probably have two variations of AirPods Max also?

I’d like to the see rumours of a iPhone SE coming next year instead of 2025 being true. Hopefully it comes with 128GB of base storage and nothing less.
