:D

Right, I've made a personal rule: I will try anything once, but if I'm going to drink any ale with "Butt" (or any synonym thereof) in the name it had better be phenomenally good beer.

Leinie's Big Butt is pretty good, unfortunately it is seasonal and only available January through March.

As an aside - Fat Tire and Shiner are overrated, crappy beers...

Blasphemy! Shiner Bock is one of my staples and my current fall back beer when selection is limited. Although I've been mostly unimpressed with their other offerings.

In no particular order, what I've been enjoying a lot lately:

- Anchor Porter
- Red Rocket Ale
- Stone Ruination Ale
- Firestone Walker Double Barrel Ale
- Sierra Nevada Stout

Bloody Hell. To continue the Religious theme, there is schmaltz's He'brew -the chosen beer!

Finally picked this one up at BevMo after being amused by the name so many times. Nothing special about the taste, but I still think the name is hilarious.

I didn't know they had an imperial stout. I have to buy some! :D

Stone Russian Imperial Stout is pretty good. Like with all Imperial Stouts, you kind of have to be in the mood for it, as it's thick and strong. Rasputin also makes a good imperial stout.

im sorry to say that all of the beers that you had posted are all weak!!
I tasted almost all of the domestic beers
try red horse....
this beer can be found in the U.S.
however it is best to drink the beer in the Philippines..
because in the philippines they included gin in red horse
unlike in the u.s. it's kinda malt though..

Hardly. Weak in what way?

Are you hammered right now? I think you'd pretty much have to be drinking 27/7 to do that (not to mention making frequent trips to the bathroom).

From the Brewers Association website: "By the year 2000 there were 1,392 breweries in the United States."

If each of those breweries made just one beer that would be a lot, but many of them make several. You do the math.

unfortunately it is seasonal and only available January through March.

This brings me back to Sleeman's, who killed Upper Canada Brewery by buying them out, and killing their best (albeit poorer selling) products.

One was their seasonal Bock Ale. 6.5% of true Heaven.

And for everyday, their Publican was a bitter to really savour.

Both killed.

I now refuse to even consider anything by Sleeman's.

I'm mildly worried about Leinies since they were bought by Miller, but their territory seems to be growing, I can get some of their beer in TX (I need to find out who I need to talk to in our local grocery stores to get the Red in) so I guess it wasn't a bad thing... yet.

There is **** all in the UK so I also added EU

Top 5 (UK, In no order):
  1. Carling
  2. Carling
  3. Carling
  4. Carling
  5. Carling

Top 5 (EU, In no order):
  1. Carlsberg
  2. Stella Artois
  3. Becks
  4. Grolsch
  5. Heineken

:mad:OK then none for UK then I guess, Never trust the internet when looking stuff up to see if a brand is indeed from the country you always thought it was:mad:.

For the Euro-Macro stuff I usually drink Carlsberg, Stella and Becks (dark is better), they are the best of the available stuff. I can't stomach Grolsch and Heineken. I didn't like Carling either.

Bah, I hoped that they were above that.

I was at my parents house this weekend and my Dad offered me an almost full six-pack of some leine brew because both my parent's couldn't stand it. I didn't actually take it but, the enthusiasm for it in this thread might lead me to try it. After all it is free.

I hadn't even realized this. it's still brewed in Chippewa Falls though right?

Meh, it's pretty good, and I'll take what I can get while it's currently distributed in TX I'll take what I can get.

Which one? Their Original can be good if you're in the right mood. The Red is stellar, some of the others are pretty good the Honey Weiss and Sunset Wheat are some of my favorites in the absence of the Red. The Berry Weiss is a non-beer (tastes more like a wine cooler than a beer, the Summer Shandy has a lemon flavor I'm not so fond of, and their Apple Cider beer was not that great but looks to be discontinued. There are others, I know but that should cover most variants.

Yeah, still brewed in Chippewa Falls, they just seem to be trying to expand distribution. I'm doing my best to make sure it sells well in TX.
