Everyone (that I have interacted with at least) is so nice on these forums. A real breath of fresh air compaired to the internet at large and other large message board populations.

Yes, while I don’t always agree with the moderation that takes place here, they keep it a very civil place compared to many others.

Welcome back!

Just curious, what made you stop coming and then made you come back?
Thanks!

Nothing that anyone here did/didn't do, haha. Honestly, just life got in the way... Around 2015, I started taking care of my grandmother a lot more in her later years (she was in her 90s, but still living on her own), and was certainly focused on work. That, coupled with a high level of community involvement on some non-profits, etc, meant I was more pressed for spare time. I also started getting back out on the dating scene, which is taxing and seems like a full time job in itself.

I've still been a Mac-user the whole time, but with my work (architecture/engineering/construction), spent most of my days on Windows based units. Posting this reply from my 2009 MacPro that I recently upgraded and flashed to 5,1 Firmware. Also, maybe in the market for a new Apple portable within the next few months, given my MBP is also a 2009 unibody.

And here I am struggling to get to 250 posts to unlock the Marketplace after over 11 years. Some of these numbers astound me!
There are two strategies to achieve this: either post everywhere like there’s no tomorrow or find a few boards that really catch your interest. We have experts for either approach right here if you need more in depth advice!

Now what would be really interesting is top 50 most ignored members.
For obvious reasons this would not be published, but I bet the owners/mods know.
Who knows, maybe I am in the running...
I would not be surprised if there is a large overlap with the top posters. Those who have the most visibility are probably more likely to show up in that category, is my guess.

Thanks!

In any case, good to have you back!

Oh I was being kind of facetious about that. I am not really in any terrible rush. I have started to post more, not because of that reason, but just getting comfortable around here. Always mindful not to spam too much.
