good oneOLED over MicroLED / Mini-LED / QLED? Oof, good luck with the burn-in.
Tell apple next time they make the iPhone 14 to make it CHEAP and with micro USB lolIt’s a standard. So you buy one cable and can charge multiple devices from different brands.
Buy a Lightning cable and you can only charge Apple devices—unless you want to charge some iPads or some Macs in which case you’ll need USB-C anyway.
same with the MacBook and iPadTell apple next time they make the iPhone 14 to make it CHEAP and with micro USB lol
Wow, there's a lot to unpack in this comment, including the weird inability to plug in a completely reversible plug and the strangely high investiture in other people's plug preferences and dismissal of any folks use cases but your own, but by far the worst part is the low key toxic masculinity embedded at the end.All those products u mentioned come with cables. USB c isn't as good as lighting, impossible to plug in dark, scratches area around ports,
I like it on iPad Pro, stupid on iPhone.
Lighting is the best for phones.
I enjoy the comedy, when people say they can't handle carrying 2 cables around, is it confusing to them or too heavy? I would like for these people elaborate on why they can't carry 2 cables, instead of just saying they have to carry 2 cables, if any of these people are men they should be embarrassed
instead of just saying they have to carry 2 cables, if any of these people are men they should be embarrassed
Because a.) it's a lie and b.) it's all about profit, as noted in their own words.Funny lighting is more waterproof and better in every way than usb-c, but odd people still call for usb-c, make no sense,
Did I get this right?
No new iPad Pros until 2022?
I mean, I purchased two iPad Air 4 for my paarents. They are great, but I wanted an updated Pro ... with 120Hz and an amazing CPU/GPU core count.
I agree! We our use, we like to have our iPad screen on all the time. I had the SiriusXM app burn-in my old iPhone XS Max screen. I had just left the screen on, thinking nothing of it.OLED over MicroLED / Mini-LED / QLED? Oof, good luck with the burn-in.
How far in the past???Burn-in with OLED is a thing of the past. It isn’t an issue these days.

imagine being this delusional.Funny lighting is more waterproof and better in every way than usb-c, but odd people still call for usb-c, make no sense,
Odd to see the claim that Lightning is more waterproof than USB-C. There were IP68 phones with USB-C (and even headphone jacks) long before Apple produced an IP68 iPhone. And neither Apple nor Android phone manufacturers cover water damage on their IP68 certified devices.
One big advantage of USB-C is that it can handle much higher power. We're already seeing Android phones with 60 watt wired chargers, and of course Apple has a 96 watt USB-C charger for the Macbook Pro. Funny thing is that USB was not originally designed for power delivery, that was an after-thought after so many devices came to market using USB only for charging.
Of course the other advantage of USB-C is that it's an industry standard with the huge majority of devices using it, and not limited just to phones, tablets, and computers. So you don't have to carry around a separate charger and cable for your iPhone from your iPad Pro or Macbook Pro (or a hundred other USB-C devices!). When traveling how many of us fill a large proportion of our carry-on luggage with chargers, cables, and dongles.
There's another reason for Apple to stick with Lightning as well—users would expect most USB-C devices to work on a phone with a USB-C connector, and that's not a road that Apple wants to go down. On an Android tablet or phone you can plug in most USB-C peripherals and they will work, the phone can even power the device, this is part of USB-OTG. This is not the case on iOS devices. Users would also expect reverse wired charging, something that many Android devices already provide (in addition to reverse-wireless charging) but that Apple has not yet come to market with.
Ming-Chi Kuo was right that moving to USB-C would negatively affect Mfi revenue, and that's the main reason for Apple to avoid it. Sticking with Lightning is not going to negatively affect iPhone sales by a measurable amount and it will allow Apple to sell more chargers, cables, and dongles.
Who says USBC is a standard? Literally everyone....Who says it's a standard?
In a way the hole is worse than the notch because when you look at it, you think to yourself they were so close to eliminating it altogether, but still fell short. Personally, I would be more than okay with a larger top bezel housing FaceID with nothing blocking the display. I just got a iPhone 12 Pro last month, upgrading from an iPhone X and probably won’t get another one until the notch is gone or I decide to get the folding iPhone in 2023/24.Wouldn't having a notch be worse, to use your example it would be a wider post or even a small wall.
Talking about iPhone not sure what u are talking about, good try thoughimagine being this delusional.
I can connect a monitor (3440x1440p), webcam, keyboard+mouse, external storage and 90w of power through a USBC dock (not thunderbolt, just USB 3.2).
try doing that with lightening that is still based on USB 3.0, and not compatible with the rest of the industry standards.
There is nothing preventing you from doing the exact same thing on an iphone if it had USB-C. Also carrying one cable instead of multiple is another huge plus.Talking about iPhone not sure what u are talking about, good try though
