Got my new Home Pod Mini. Not impressed. I listen to audio books quite often and there is just way too much bass coming out of the mini. Even after telling Siri to turn off the bass, it sounds like someone narrating a book to you through a closed door. Oh well. My iPhone 12 delivers a better listening experience than the mini.

Do you have an EQ set? I inadvertently had one set from years ago and it made the new AirPods sound like you describe. I haven't played with them since turning off the EQ setting, but imagine it's batter. Just an idea. Might want t o check. I certainly didn't think I'd find that set. *shrug*

The rumors about the features for iMac Pro (if thats what they end up calling it) upgrades would be really surprising if the MacBook 16 inch Pro didn't already have the same thing. I don't fault Apple for that, of course they are going to use the new M1 Pro and Max chips, I fault the 'leak'. Is Tesla planning on releasing a car with 4 wheels?

Are we still talking about iMac?

Isn't the new Macbook Pro exactly the all-in-one pro users wanted (less dongles, need for color accurate external HDR display, need for more power (Mac Pro) for photo and video editing)?
If iMac must be all-in-one Mac then no, I’m talking about the next Mac Pro and separate displays. Pro users don’t use a laptop, or an all-in-one, they want a big display. No one should want an all-in-one or a “pro” laptop, not even students, the original iMac demographic. Everyone will prefer the portable Mac Pro with battery with their choice of screens and keyboards with batteries.

Just got my Fits today, and...

Listening to the Apple TV, they break up at times. The audio just crumbles at random times. Sounds scratchy, and largely drops out, and then tries to come back. First time it was about 6 seconds, and the second was about 2.

VERY annoying...

The AirPods gen 3 did it as well. Not a feature I thought I was paying for, and spans Apple and Beats brands. Bummer...

EDIT: Just realized that the video/audio isn't synchronized. YUCK!!!

Ordered the Beats Fit buds, and the gray are apparently either very popular, or Beats/Apple had a problem getting them out the door. They are around 2 weeks later to arrive. Odd. The gray does look good, and I actually debated getting the purple (it's PINK people! And the wife loathes pink, so I would probably retain ownership for the duration:D:cool:) but was surprised finding the gray were the only color showing a delayed ship estimate from the Apple Store. *shrug*
Lavender! And yes, I think the gray were unexpectedly popular! I was going to buy them online, and that color would have taken an additional 10 days to 2 weeks! I tried my luck at my local Apple store and found them —the last pair available on Saturday at this store. ?

They sound EXCELLENT—still testing them out. I had hoped for longer battery life, they seem to consistently get around 5 hours when running them down to 15% battery (which I’m not sure is healthy for the batteries?).
The case charges them really fast — 50% in 15 minutes. So they go from 15% to 66% in 15 minutes. That’s probably around 2.5 hours listening time. 30 minutes in the case takes you to 90% charge.

I just can’t really tell how well the ANC truly blocks out sound In a loud environment.

Beats Fit Pro case doesn't have a green LED?

WHAT?!? Why not? It's the only one I've had from Beats or Apple that only shows red and white.

EDIT: The case seems a little cheesy too. Surprisingly cheesy. The Studio Buds have a much more robust case. It almost feels like this case doesn't have a battery in it. Odd...
