has anyone tried using a front, back, and side film protector with the desmay? i'd hate for any kind of dirt or anything to get stuck inside the case and leave marks :(

I've already dropped my iPhone w/ Desmay and I'm pretty careful with my gadgets. The result? A crack about an inch along the corner. I tried emailing them to see if they would send me a replacement but no go. I really really loved this case too and there is no other case as thin as this so I really hoped this would work out. :(

I've been trying to find a slightly sturdier reaplacement case that might be the next thinnest case but haven't found any that compares. I might also try and superglue the crack shut and see what that looks like.

So you've all been warned....DO NOT DROP!!

Also, I will second some of the comments made above about the case (and logo) scratching. Mine doesn't have any major scratches but you can notice some if you hold it up at the right angle. And yes, the logo wears off but maybe thats a good thing.

Crack on the phone or the case? If only the case then it did its job.

Also does anyone know if this will fit over a Lucky Labs Teksure Skin carbon fiber back?

I feel like I'm the only one on this thread that is of the opinion that I only want a case to last for one drop. If I drop my phone and the thin case I have on it breaks but it stopped the iPhone from cracking, then it has served its purpose for me and I'm fine with getting another case. Thin cases make up for their lack of protection through their thinness and keeping the iPhone a gorgeous gadget. I think iPhone's in Otterboxes are ugly. I'm like this because of the 3 iPhone I have owned, I have only ever dropped my phone once. So, I'm starting to think that the Desmay is my next purchase. Thx for the comments.

My vote for best case/protection would be the Caze Thinedge.

Can be had for $8 off of eBay, doesn't mess with flash, lay on table design, sturdy material that doesn't stretch/flake like other cases, and imo the blue version looks great on a white iPhone :)

I have one of these in silver with red nub, looks great and has a front lip, which is very useful. Change the back to a "metal"/plastic one (I got a silver one) and you've got and you are good to go. :D

I use a case-mate barely there and like it very much. I am, however, thinking about picking up a Desmay blue case. Looks pretty nice.

Do you know if the Case Mate Barely There extends past the screen a little bit? As in, can you put it screen-down and not have the screen sit flush with the surface?

A few notes about the Desmay.

- Fit is tight. I fit a back protector on but side protectors wouldn't appear to fit.

- With back protector it looks a little cloudy from the back Not as clean as images found on their site.

- The case gets scratched and shows wear pretty quickly. The desmay logo printed on the back rubbed off in less than a week.

- It is very thin and really will provide no drop protection at all, but you know this when you go for the super thin case

- IMO, it's a little overpriced. I would buy more of these if the price were $10-$15 instead of $20

I have found some similar generics that I will try and compare.

Generally I am satisfied.

I have been happy with mine and I have not noticed that its scratches easily (whats in your pocket?).

My only beefs:

1. The cutouts could be more precisely cut. Id rather have a case cut exactly to the 4S than one that covers both models. The silent switch is cut way too high, and the volume up/down buttons are to the bottom of the cut area not in the center.

2. The fit is not perfect. I can squeeze the sides and feel a click. That means that one side is not full clicked into place. This is probably due to a misformed shape. (note the case does not fall off).

It's a POS...I am on my second one and it broke the other day. I emailed Incase and expressed my displeasure and hope they replace it...not to mention I have an Incase hardshell case for my unibody aluminum MacBook and the rubber bumpers on the bottom peeled off and it doesn't stay on the MacBook very well.

Am I the only one who thinks the Desmay is ugly? it looks like a black condom when placed on the iPhone. The Incase Snap is very very very thin, has a matte coating to prevent it from being slippery, and looks stunning.

I've used Incase since the first iPhone and have never had any problems.

The Incase Snap is definitely a POS. The missus went through two in the matter of weeks.

Said it before, I will say it again i really like the Incipio feather. i have dropped it a few times and it still looks great.

My first one from a year ago did have the paint come off, and they sent me a new one for free. My second one cracked from removing it and they sent another one to me. My third has been fine for a while now. I just wish i could lay it on the table on its screen, but you cant win them all!
