how are the sync speeds? I've heard they are slowest of any other ipod?

I've put music on the iPod from over 4 diferent computers. The sync speed for the first 3 was really fast, but when I was adding some music from my desktop last night it took almost 45 minutes to do 82 songs. I've seen it very, I think its very USB 2.0 dependant. I also synced w/ firewire; though thats a little faster, its not a huge increase.

Thanks,
Arisian

Syncing 16gb on my old ipod photo.. about 45-60 minutes.

Syncing 16gb on the Touch. 7.5 hours... had to leave it overnight.

Sync with nothing to do on photo - about 5 seconds.
Sync with nothing to do on touch - 2 minutes (it always resyncs the contacts and bookmarks even if they haven't changed.. probably a bug that will be fixed so the time can be reduced somewhat).

It's a *lot* slower. Some of that is because it isn't compatible with firewire so you're limited to USB speeds, but that doesn't account for all of it.

It took me less than an hour to sync 14 GB (5 GB of music plus about 40 TV shows) from my Mac Mini.

thanks .. so I guess the issue (if there is any) is with the USB ports on computers.

Sync bookmarks from Mac to touch

I must be missing something simple. I cannot seem to get my Mac bookmarks to sync with my iPod touch. Is there a setting in preferences that I have overlooked? Thanks.
