I have no clue what you just said.

hah sorry for that. what I mean to say is that, when you restore from backup, it uses your gb. You mentioned it as there wouldn't any room for OS to be copied. but it actually copies so whatever is left, is not for the OS....

No, I reported the size of my backups. Someone said that it includes a copy of the current OS in the backup. I pointed out that there's no room in that backup for the OS if it includes all my pictures and app data. I didn't say anything about it using my gee-bee when I restore from backup.

Restores don't copy over OS files. Restores only hold your data and the preferences of your phone. All the settings and personalizations. Restore or new, the OS is the same either way. I've never setup new except once. I've been using my backup from my 3G phone, my first phone and have had every phone since then. No issue that wasn't fixed with an update.

This happened on my 6s+ today for the first time. It wouldn't respond by unlocking but rather stating "your passcode is required to unlock device" or something to that nature. This was also set up as new. The passcode let me in and haven't been to reproduce.

Was it one of these circumstances?
1) After having powered down the phone.
2) After an OS update.
3) After a restore from backup.
4) After having gone 48 hours without unlocking with Touch ID.

After any of these things, you'll be required to use the passcode before Touch ID will work again.

No, none of these applied. The phone had been unlocked multiple times through-out the day. I would say maybe 3 hours since the previous unlock. The phone has not been restarted since turned on on Friday, other than the 9.0.1 update which was days ago. Seemed random. I also use a 7 digit passcode and thought I forgot it because I hadn't had to use it until today.
