Has anyone started using Touch ID for their phone since they've upgraded to the iPhone 6/6+? I turned it on just to give it a try and I haven't turned back. It's much easier (IMO) to just click the home button and leave my finger on it. The only down side is applications like Facebook messenger that don't have interactive notifications on the home screen.

I tried and disliked it on my 5 and will pass using it on the 6 or 6 Plus.

Touch ID is incredible on the 6 and 6 Plus. I always hated pass code or pattern lock screens, but I also never felt like it was smart to leave your phone wide open for anyone to look at. Apple implemented this feature perfectly.

The 6+ was my first experience with it since my last iPhone (5) didn't have it. It works perfectly every time for me and is much faster and easier than having to enter an unlock passcode.

Can't say I notice it being any different than on my 5S. Works great, consistent and wouldn't be without it.

Has always worked flawlessly for me. From the 5s to my 6 and now Air 2. Would hate to be without it, especially now that apps like PWSafe can use it.

I like it.

I dislike having to put my password in for the first app purchase of the day!

I rarely buy more than one app in a day so never get chance to use my finger! :D

well good thing you disliked it on your 5, because it didn't have it anyway.

What is a good thing is we have childish people here to correct everyone for a mistake. :p

That is great but it did not work well for me. There a huge threads where people tried to help me get it to work and I could never achieve what I thiught was results worth using. I agree it works for most who want to use it, I just do not think it is for me.

That bothers so many here.

Doesn't bother me in the slightest other than perhaps from a law enforcement and intelligence perspective. Either your fingerprints have been removed or you have a defective advise. I appreciate it may not work for you, doesn't mean it is defective for the many millions of users though ;)

TouchID was working fine >80% of the times on my iPhone 5S. After some updates, it worked something like 95% of the times.
With the iPhone 6 I still have to see it fail once....

Absolutely happy about it.

The fact that it would only work 3 out of 5 times might have been a problem. Even wih my thumb registered into the phone three times it would still FAIL 2 out of five times.

That is not good enough for me.

Same for me on the 5s, but, to my surprise, it always works on the 6. :)

I am in no way saying it does not work for "many millions"!

I assure you my fingers prints are quite intact. I do use a passcode so I am not worried about enforcement getting into my phone.

It's pretty well established that Touch ID was hit and miss with the 5s. With the 6 it is nearly perfect. I strongly suggest you give it another try. It's a wonderful feature, and would be a shame for you to not enjoy it based on your experience with the 5s.

Totally agree. Newtons Apple, give it another try. Otherwise, people would just dismiss you as not knowing any better.

TouchID is really the only reason I stuck with Apple and didn't buy a Note 4.

Good move. I tried my best to set up the Note 4 best I could, but even after lots of practice the scanner was pretty frustrating. Pretty near impossible to work one handed.
