Software. It will be fantastic if they ever get around to fixing the multi gesture function that keeps hanging up. It's a pain and it's gone on so long it's as if they don't give a rip. Very irritating.
I keep tapping few times sometimes (ios 8.1.2) until something happens. It works odd, sometimes you need to tap "offset" (links or so) to get them open.
Im wondering can you use a glass screen protection at all or do you loose the sensitivity alot. Im trying to find a decent stylus for air2 and definitely need a glass on the screen before using the stylus. With a finger them seems to work fine, but do they work at all with styluses?
I've applied a Tempered glass on it and it lost about 30% sensitivity when scrolling with the side of my finger. No noticeable difference before I applied it.
Exactly which product did you apply? I'd like to avoid it and may have to rethink putting glass on mine (I haven't done it yet, but was considering it).

It was a $10 one on eBay, I believe the name was "gorilla" not Gorilla Glass, which is what I think they were going for.
I've had glass on my mini and no loss in sensitivity, but it's very noticeable on the iPad air 2. Not sure if it's the glass or just the new display tech.

I just noticed too after applying a tempered glass screen protector on my ipad air 2.
I've used tempered glass screen protector all along, with my ipad air and my mom's mini has a tempered glass protector and my blackberry too.
I never noticed reduced sensitivity on my ipad air, and I just checked, no reduced sensitivity on my mom's ipad mini (on ios 8.2, like my air 2) or my blackberry.
Touch registered at the slightest contact on those devices. With my ipad air2, no. A really slight contact won't register a touch. As I said I never had this with my air, which i have sold now.
I don't know if it's the screen protector (trying another brand may work?) but I am considering taking it off altogether.
