So like... what the hell is this?

This is a 16" MBP, but as I've heard, people with previous generations also have it. So it must have been there for ages. I'm trying really hard to like the TouchBar, and very slowly I'm maybe getting used to it. But there's no way to get used to the bugs and glitches.

Another one:

I love the ability to see whether NightShift is on or off. My eyes adjust to it and very often I'm wondering if I'm seeing the true colors or not at a glance. This button would do just that... except it doesn't. When you turn on NightShift, it turns off in the morning automatically, but this button stays light grey as if NightShift was on, just adding to the confusion.

There are other bugs but these are the two that annoy me the most. Anyone else? Post your screenshots of TouchBar bugs.

I've posted an Apple bug report but maybe if more people talk about it, it will be more likely to get fixed.

Oh and I tried "My TouchBar, My Rules" as well ass "Better Touch Tool" and don't even get me started on those. They're even more buggy, with sliders jumping around, getting stuck, and just general weird behavior.

I know that getting real physical buttons is too much to ask from Apple but this is not better in any way.

1. Sorry, I can't spot what the actual problem is. Do you mind specifying the issue?

2. Mine was buggy because the heat was degrading the touch bar board. It got replaced.

3. I think it'd probably be EASIER for them to put physical keys in, so I would say it's NOT too much to ask.

If you look at my first image, you can see some Safari tabs appearing. Now instead of one of them having a white box around it, you have a bunch of white boxes all over the place. No matter what tab I select, more than one tab has white a box around it. It isn't always like this, but in 50% of the cases, it is.

In the second image, you can see that the "Night Shift" button is highlighted, indicating that Night Shift is ON. However, what you can't see is that Night Shift is actually OFF. So the button is indicating it wrong.

Ah. Yea I saw that, I just didn't understand it.

Wow. You should contact Apple, ASAP. ALL of my trackpad glitchy problems were the trackpad board.

Mine has a random issue where the control strip volume control does nothing. Won't adjust or mute or anything. Reboot fixes it. The last two software updates have fixed the 'tab bug' that's linked in the OP. At least on my 13". The latest software update I got a few days ago has also fixed the issue where dark mode never happened automatically.
