Gotta love Aussie humor. We're too uptight in the US for that to play here.

I would not be so sure. I seem to recall a very similar (though less abrasive) car commercial in the states.

If I recall the innuendo softened quite a bit when the BF started showing the dad the navigation system, air bags, etc.

Oh, the classic, "think of the children" cry. Yes, children will see this ad, decide that they have to go out and have sex right away. It is that dangerous for immature minds, sure...

You don't have to take that point of view and jump off a cliff with it. The effects are much more subtle. But then, where's the fun in nuance for a flamer?

It depends on the point of view you're taking. As a well-adjusted, mature adult, maybe you can handle it. You have to consider the state of mind, maturity level, age, etc. of everybody, not just those who are "like" you.
One has to be completely retarded to believe that any kind of "adult content" has any effect whatsoever on children. This is just an idiotic idea propagated by religious degenerates.

Oh. Now that the smartest person on earth has weighed in, we have all knowledge on the subject. Thanks a bunch! Studies indicating a contrary conclusion are obviously flawed, so don't bother searching for any. You'll find them, but it's heresy.

Of course they're flawed... if there were a law forbidding the publication of any non-scientific studies (that is, studies not based on the sicentific method) and any maipulative statistics, you'd see absolutely no studies "showing" that nudity/pornography/violence has any negative effect on childre or adult, you'd see no studies showing that GMOs are harmful to human health and you'd see no studies stating that the global warming is certainly caused by humans... but unfortunately there are no such laws and the vast majority of people don't have the necessary education to distinguish between scientifically valid studies and invalid ones (most people don't know the difference between correlation and causality, don't know what a control group is, and so on...)

Regarding this subject, it's not even necessary have any study showing one thing or another because there are entire countries with lax or non-existent legislation with regards to sex censorship in media and a strong openness to sex, like denmark... guess what? danish people are perfectly fine and happy! (as opposed to what some retarded conservatives might think)

There's an even better one today about a xmas card. It said something like "Santa loves all children - even ginger ones". Complaints made, supermarket takes it off the shelves, the rest of the UK wishes people would get a sense of humour.

Hilarious , what would you make of a card saying "Santa loves all children - even black ones"?

Not exactly acceptable when you do it like that is it?

The ad was funny but not that funny. There was a lot of innuendo but I think it would be perfectly fit to air...in my opinion.

Of course it wouldn't be acceptable..there is no such thing as black cookies. Conversely, ginger bread men are quite common and such a slogan is quite acceptable....and humorous to boot.

Really? Whoever considered the incestuous has something wrong in their childhood.
Yeah, seriously. I watched the video before reading the rest of the post and that did not even cross my mind. Then I read the post and facepalmed. People need to relax and stop thinking into things so deeply. Not everything has to be analyzed and examined for something that isn't there.

And there was the Jack in the Box lesbian ("Jack raps") commercial. Hilarious, I couldn't believe it. It was on for a couple of days, then gone. I'm sure they expected the usual backlash and had a safe commercial ready to go when they took it off.
