My bad you are right. Its been that long. I camped out apple store Miami Beach.Your math doesn’t check out. The first golden iPhone was the 5S released in September 10, 2013. If you’re almost 39 today, you were not in your twenties then.

This is the first time I have scheduled picking up my new iPhone at the Apple store rather than having it delivered to me. Since I don’t have the option to track it, just wondering if anyone has ever experienced having their scheduled pickup date moved back by Apple due to delays in shipping?
Thanks for your reply but I wasn't looking for coddling or emotional support. I was soliciting anecdotal experiences to learn about something new for me, which other forum members have now shared.Across several years and millions upon millions of devices sold for in-store pickup, I'm fairly confident that this has probably happened to someone at some point.
Will it happen to you? Unlikely.
... though if it does, so what?
You get the phone in another day or two or whatever. Don't get caught up in the hype over a shiny gadget. In six months time it won't matter.
This is cool to see! I am also a first time iPhone pre-order in-store pick up person and I hope I get this text soon.Just got this text message!
Yes I would still go during your set time. The text notification was a reminder not the actual pick up notification. We’re supposed to get a pick up email telling us the iPhone is ready for pick up.This is cool to see! I am also a first time iPhone pre-order in-store pick up person and I hope I get this text soon.
If for whatever reason I do not get this text message and I have not been notified of any delays should I still going to the store during my set time?
Ah,thanks. I was quickly reading on mobile and did not realize.Yes I would still go during your set time. The text notification was a reminder not the actual pick up notification. We’re supposed to get a pick up email telling us the iPhone is ready for pick up.
Just got my email, for pick up tomorrow. I’m in Los Angeles. Ok I’m excited now. Lol.
Same here. I'm picking mine up at the Manhattan village store.
I got my notice exactly 24 hours before my scheduled pickup time tomorrow at 7pm. So you'll probably get your notice and see your status update tomorrow at about 11am.Anyone else scheduled a pick-up for a Saturday? (I wish I could have chosen Friday pick-up but knew I wouldn't be available all day). Its weird..my pickup day / time was (or is) on Sat at 11am. But now I get this as my status...

Citizen just charged me the first payment so tomorrow ready to pick it up at apple
Happened to me last year. Got delayed email at the last minute. And still haven't gotten a ready for pickup email this time even though I got it about my wife's 745 pm last night already. What's the latest the ready for pickup email can come? Will be so pissed if they send a delayed one again at the last minute. This is the first time I have scheduled picking up my new iPhone at the Apple store rather than having it delivered to me. That's about when the one came for my wife's, but I still haven't gotten anything even though we have the same window of 730-745 pmI got my notice exactly 24 hours before my scheduled pickup time tomorrow at 7pm. So you'll probably get your notice and see your status update tomorrow at about 11am.
