The OP is complaining about trade-in value as he was considering the M2.

I'm not reading that from OP's post, and indeed OP has stated that they didn't they couldn't afford it.

Never trade anything into Apple. They give you garbage. Sell it online. I use swappa.com. I generally get 80% or higher on there for what I originally paid.
