Ok I wan to know if its possible to transfer data from one iPhone to another iPhone. The reason is i'm going to be getting the iPhone 3GS and I want all the data from my old iPhone on the new one. I heard that you could do this by simply taking the SIM card and sticking it in the new one and iTunes will tell you to restore that iPhone, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?

Next time try searching your answer. Its easy.

However, the answer is, just sync with iTunes and all your info gets transfered to your new iPhone. Just hit delete/reset in your old iPhone to clear it out.

Back up your iPhone 3g and when you go to sync your 3G S restore it from a back up. I think that should work.

Sorry

oh and could you elaborate that explanation cause I didn't quite get it. Or point me to the thread that has an explanation for this problem. Thanks in advance.

1. Plug old iPhone into computer and wait until it's done syncing.
2. Plug new iPhone into computer and restore it from your iPhone backup.
