Here is my short list- Lets here what you guys think:

Cornell(My very unlikely reach school)
University of Texas Austin
University of South Carolina
Carnegie-Mellon
Canisius College
Penn State
George Washington University
University of Boston(Cant decide between BU or Boston College)
Drexel University (safety)

Any opinions on schools there? There reputation? Any I should consider adding or taking out?

You could also apply to umass Boston or northeastern univ. Northeastern might be a good choice if you know what you want to major in, because they have a fabulous internship and work experience program.

As a person who has traveled all over the world, as well. Incl. europe, s. america, caribbean, c. america, and attended both university at Buffalo and New York University, I have some suggestions. First you must take into consideration your life experience in addition to your GPA. Most unis don't give a **** about your hs GPA once you've proven yourself in college. I was an underachieving hs student who took AP and IB courses, with a C average at best, but in college I had a 3.96 GPA from the gate. Transferring after my freshman year was no problem. Emory, Johns Hopkins, Northwestern, all accepted me. Like I said your extracurricular activities are very important, clubs, newspaper, student govt., internships, jobs, etc. They will also weigh your recommendations very very heavily, your sample writing, and your essays. You should also consider what specialty your are interested in in business. Marketing, Intl., hr, accounting, psych, etc. Take a look at peterson's or the US News reviews for business grad programs and pick a couple from the middle and a couple from the top.
I think if you want to do business it is very important where you go to school b/c of the connections you will make while in the program. You also need to look at their internship opportunities, and their clubs, who is in them, where are they, etc. NY, LA, Chicago, Boston, are all great for marketing, but there are other cities that have very strong speciality firms as well. For Exampl I know that there is a small niche in buffalo in marketing and design for the music industry. They also have some bigger firms with main branches in the big cities so there is possibility of transfer.
Anyway, this is going on and on. The last thing I will say is that Buffalo has a bad rep. We don't get that much snow, and thanks to global warming we have had some almost-balmy winters over the last decade. I think that SUNY Buffalo has a better business program than Cansius, that is, if you are interested in doing business anywhere outside of Western New York State.
Good luck! Be sure to check out those books, websites, whatever, you can usually look at them for free in bookstores and of course the library.

i would recommend PSU over maryland definitely, it has one of the best college experiences anywhere also the business department is becoming a large asset i believe their is a program where students make investments wiht real money. light lisa i dont agree about extra curricular many schools dont care about them. penn state for example doesn't take in extra curriculars unless you are on the very edge of acceptance, then they can sway you one way or the other but grades and test scores are much more important

I go to Penn State and I can say it really is a great experience. It is certainly your typical college campus in terms of lifestyle.

As for the business college at PSU, I'd say it is doing a hell of a job. I'm not in the business college myself, but I know a lot who were and have graduated. Nobody I knew had ANY trouble finding internships/co-ops/full-time jobs. In fact, I am doing actuary science (which is offered by the business college), but I chose to do that through a math degree in the science college. But with the way that the university is set-up, I am able to get help from the business college to find my jobs. The quality and amount of resources you get here are very good.

One other suggestion: You could always major in econ or a general business subject for undergrad, sharpen your grades up, and then go to a top-tier MBA program or grad degree afterwards. That might open your options a lot farther.
