transferring pics to my iMac

    Ive taken pictures with my iPhone6S, how many ways are there to transfer those pics to my iMac?

    Well the best way is via iCloud Photos.

    Connect your iPhone to your Mac via your lightning cable. Select image capture from your applications folder. A window should pop up showing all the photos in your camera roll, so simply select which photos you wish to import.

    Myself, I would use airdrop (or instashare, since my iMac doesn't support airdrop to iOS devices).

    Lightning cable? I have a 27" 2010 core i7 iMac

    assuming same apple id tuning on my photo stream on phone and on the mac should cause photos to be synced automaticaly

    that would be the cable you charge the phone with.
