I though it was great. It had a lot of little things paying homage to the original transformers and a few classic lines in it from prime.
I believe it was really well done. Yes it has it cheesy movements in it and the story is not all about a one human it really is about the transformers.
Oh and just to make some people happy they really do not do much in the "love story" it all very minor and lacks those cheesy movements some people here where expecting.

If I had one complaint it was to many story lines going on a little shallow on all of them.

Would I see it again. HELL YEAH. I though the movie was sweet and I have to say money very well spent.
 
Just saw it, I'd say it's one of the better movies of the summer, if not the best. It has it's corny moments but everything was great. As an action film it did what it was supposed to. The only thing I think they could've made better was the last fight scene, that was whack. There were also many times where Megatron could've just smashed Sam and take the damn cube. Other than that I enjoyed it.
 
It was pure bliss! I was impressed with it and glad it wasn't as corny as it could have been. I'm stoked and I think I'll see it again in another week or so.
 
I wish blaster and megatron right hand man(bad ass voice) was was in it..oh well I thought it was good.

If my memory serves me well...I didn't know decepticons had a robot that transform into a car and I thought Jazz was a cop car.

OMFG best movie i have ever seen. imo this thing floogs 300 and that movie was awsomeo!!!! this movie has everything going for it, great visual effects, its got wit, the robots have attitude, the actors are really good.

the best part tho.... ALL COMPUTERS ARE MACS!!! *fapfapfapfapfapfapfap*

i literally yelled out at the cinema when i saw all those ACD in taht defence room or whateva it was... just amazing

best movie ever!

I believe the decepticons had a car or 2.
It was Prowl that transformed into a cop car. Jazz transformed into a porsche.
 
Saw it last night. And wow it was so horrible. I'd say about 30 minutes of the film was pretty cool, but the other 2 hours were terrible. No substance at all to this film and terribly weak action sequences. Just bad on so many levels. Dialog was made for a 7 year old.

Then again I wasn't expecting it to be good, as I don't like Michael Bay films.

It was nice to nice all those mac laptops and flat panels! However the first laptop in the desert was an HP.

I might like to point out that the HP laptop in the desert was a lot better than a mac laptop. reason being is apple does not make military laptops HP does. It was a correct more realistic way of doing it.

as for you review each there own. I though it was great but I am also a transformer fan. it is a little limited on what it can do being transformers but I though it was good. It was a lot better than I was excepting. i will say the movie did get a little slow at times. If you are a g1 transformer fan you will like this movie because they do a very good job sticking true to transformers

+1, I'm trying to find my G1 VHS tapes but I think I'll have to purchase some new DVD sets for big $$$ :(. At least I still have the G1 movie, would be great watching that and then going to the movie (current) again.
 
I just saw it earlier tonight, and despite sitting in the third row of a packed theater, it was great. A lot better than i thought it was going to be :cool:
 
Just got back from Transformers.

Despite my forum name, I was gleefully cheering for Optimus Prime and the autobots the entire movie. Although I must say, Megatron was a MONSTER. Bay and Spielberg do not disappoint - the movie is amazing and riveting. They stayed true to the Transformer roots while producing some of the most ridiculous CGI effects I have ever seen. They throw in humor at just the right moments, and additionally the best Optimus Prime quotes are in there.

Transformer fans - one of the best movies ever. If you weren't a Transformer fan before, you will be after you see this movie.

They were by far the best effects I have seen in a long time, and I thought the first 3 star wars were AMAZING, but this is just WOW eye candy crazy graphics amazing too. I'm proud to say that they use some Macs at Industrial Lights and Magic, but they use them alongside Dells on Linux and Dell PC workstations along with a bunch of inhouse built machines and software. This is all found online.

An excellent summer movie. Good action, decent-enough plot, and Bay didn't pay undue attention to the lovey subplot. Worth every penny I spent on it; in fact, I want to see it again.
 
Saw it again yesterday, something bothered me. The characters seemed a little shallow to me, I'm hoping in the next movie they'll expound upon Sam and the other humans a bit more.

Anyone ever figure out what that last trailer is for?

you right in the movie Jazz did. My post was about the original G1 transformers.

As part of the reason Jazz was not a porsche and BumbleBee was not a VW bug was neither one of those companies where willing to let there cars be associated with "war vehicles" That and GMC payed a lot of money to have all the autobots be a car that they owned (including Prime)

The correction there would be it was GM, not GMC. (Pontiac and Chevy are both owned (and not owned like pwned, but literally owned) by GMC)
 
Just saw it tonight. Loved it.

I'm going back with the fam this week - they all want to watch it with me, because I was a massive fan when I was little.
