Affliction shirts are so ugly, full of weird "artistic designs" that are busy, scattered and full of gold and silver shining appliqué.

As a high school teacher I get the "pleasure" of seeing these on a daily basis.

And that brings me to another trend I hate....all things Jersey Shore.

Yeah Ed Hardy is gross too.

This "metro" guy at work wears those freaking shirts on casual Fridays with torn jeans and really pointy boots.

Cool guy.

I'll start it with the whole flat bill ball cap with a sticker on it.

On second thought, maybe I will not take off the stickers on my jeans...to be hip lol

Skinny jeans are a fashion don't. They're even worse on guys with beer guts.

LOL!

Sorry, I dont mean to offend you guys, but I'm not sure what age you guys might be.

But in any case, every generation has there trends, I'm pretty sure you guys know that and had your trends in your days.

What I'm seeing in this thread is IMO, a bunch of 30-40-50 year old male/ females beating down kids and young adults Ages 13-29

I did the baseball cap with sticker trend

I wear skinny jeans, some people even sagg them to lose the grip to make it purposely sagging. It's a new fashion for the Y and Z generation even the Alpha Generation. I have even seen 5, 6 and 10 year olds wearing skinny jeans.

Go to any high school or college university here in southern california, almost the skinny Jeans and baseball cap trend has taken over the old baggy jeans and matching clothes trend.

The new trend coming for the 2010s is fruity, colorful jeans with colorful Nike SB's a similar revival to the 1980's. Young adults getting tattoos even at age 15 or 10, ear lobes or whatever you want to call it, body piercings, weird hairstyles, punk-modern look, ghetto people looking less ghetto than the 1990's. Glasses that don't even have glasses in them!:D like em or not they are coming!

Hello, they're winter boots essentially and yes, even in Colorado, you look stupid wearing them in the Spring and Summer. I don't think girls understand how much of a turn off Uggs are. You may as well be smoking.

Actually, people are supposed to wear them indoors.

Also, the boots aren't really for girls. Aussie guys wear them too, but like I said, they wear them indoors. I suppose guys may have stopped wearing them, since they're so popular with girls everywhere else.

Living in Colorado I can sympathize. It's not that they're ugly (they are), it's that people where them all year round. No kidding. Everyone and their mom wears Ugg boots year-round here

They don't look that bad but everyone wears them, which is probably why I don't like them!

But.....they are better than crocs, which everyone seemed to wear too a few years back

No. It's a blessing.

It's sad, really.

All this attempt at uniqueness, and "look at me, look at me" vibe.

I understand that kids want to make their own mark in the World, removed from their parents, but when everyone does the same thing it loses it's value.

Plus, there is the envy crowd, the have-nots, that cannot afford such expensive trappings.

A standard of dress, school uniforms if you will, removes all this crap from what is supposed to be their learning years.

My parents couldn't afford to buy school uniforms when I was growing up in the 60s and 70s. We had to make do with 50's vintage hand me downs from a neighbour and substitutes. It was rather humiliating as a young child to be the odd one out in sea of immaculate polyester. Still, it gave me an appreciation of natural fabrics and an aversion for following the herd.

Otherwise, yeah, it is extremely moronic to be the same in an attempt to be different.

I thought the glasses without lens trend was already over.
I really hate people who wear their pants sagging, and those affliction and Ed Hardy type shirts.

Affliction anything.

That said, I'm in total agreement with most everything else here but I do love my ugg boots. Being a rather unattractive girl though, I use uggs for warmth. I don't wear them over my jeans, with shorts or skirts and they're in the closet at least 8 months out of the year. :)

Another is the ear lobe stretching thing. I don't get what they're doing there.

Why are you women so hard on yourselves?

Skinny jeans is my pet peeve. I remember years ago before they were popular some kid wore a pair to work and everyone busted on him so bad saying he was wearing girls jeans that he asked the manager to go home and change haha.

If people want to wear them thats one thing, but most guys do not and clothing manufacturers don't get that through their dumb heads and release all of their jeans in skinny leg. You can't even get non-skinny leg jeans at American Eagle anymore and Gap has definitely lost a majority of their selection to the skinny leg trend.

I am down to 2 pair of jeans and since where I live sucks for clothing stores I'm stuck until non-skinny leg stuff comes in.

Ugg boots. Or 'boots with the fur' as they've been mentioned already. Why?!

I have to partially disagree. While I do hate that a lot of girls wear them year round I do love my ugg boots in the winter. I have to wear heels at work, compared to that wearing ugg boots is like walking on clouds.

Get with the program bro, that ****** is so 2009. This year will (if American Apparel's direction is any indicator) see a return to a more preppy, smart style.

My personal pet hates;
  • People who wear shirts for bands they have never heard of
  • Ugg Boots
  • Glasses with 20/20 prescriptions
  • Geek Chic
For the record I am 21 and have done the New Era with the sticker, Skinny Jeans, Retro-styled T-shirts, Nike Dunks (back in 06-07ish) and now I have moved onto something a bit more timeless, Levi 511's, Plain Black Tshirt, Open overcoat.

EDIT: Ed Hardy. I hate Ed Hardy

How about when people tell you online that "your stupid"?

And if you don't understand why, well then, you're pretty stupid yourself. :p
