Me and my girlfriend went to see it in IMAX 3D last week.
We were looking forward to it a lot, and had booked tickets a few weeks beforehand.

We both LOVED the film very much.

It's just a fun, exciting movie. A great visual experience and the 3D just adds a layer of perception, it helps immerse you in the action.
It's one good example of what going to the cinema is all about - dipping into another world and leaving disbelief at the door. Allowing your imagination to fire and be stimulated by someone else's visual creativity.
Having read other comments around the net, I don't really understand why people complain about dialogue being awful in this (and many other movies these days), or how a storyline is lacking - I guess they're just easy criticisms to throw at something people can't find alternative merit in.

The soundtrack was wonderful!
And the coolness of some scenes, such as the club scene: awesome.

I really enjoyed the movie, I also enjoyed watching the Transformers: Dark of the Moon trailer in 3D also for the first time, I'm really excited for that movie.

I'll rent it. I was afraid, like the original, the racing would be the high point, probably tremendous eye candy, surrounded by a somewhat boring execution of a story line.

I thought it was pretty good.

Jeff brings the Dude to Tron! LOL

Didn't really need 3D, but the theaters around here don't carry the 2D version so they can mug you for bringing your kids to the theater.

Saw it in 2D first, then took my son to the 3D version last night. What a huge difference!!!!!! I LOVED the 3D version.

I think this is one that will grow on people the more they see it. I caught more of the storyline the 2d time around, and there is more there than originally meets the eye.

However, I do have to say that the female lead should have been played by someone else. As long as she didn't have to talk, she was good. She opened her mouth, and there was too much Leelu mimicry...

The soundtrack is excellent. In fact, we bought it via iTunes last night immediately after getting home from the movie.

I saw it this past weekend and liked it. It was action packed and I actually understood the story without knowing the entire backstory.

Both the FX and soundtrack are fantastic. I rented Tron after Legacy, but couldn't get past the special effects. It came off as too cheesy for me, but I may give it another go before sending it back.

I grew up loving Tron too, I can't wait to get to see the new one in 3D, I'm sure it looks amazing but just watching the 2D version of the trailer gets me hot already!

Indeed! Daft Punk did a good job on all of the music for the movie.

I never heard of them until now - but fans of theirs were ecstatic when Disney announced they were doing the soundtrack.

They did a fantastic job...

I guess they're the "Modern Day" Wendy Carlos (electronica)... ;)

Listening to it now, for the 12th time in the last three days. Its good working music for an IT geek like me. :D

In ... "Tron: Legacy," is still a world of monochromatic light blue stripes for the friendly, red for the worst, but the programs are partiers hang in dance clubs sipping cocktails with umbrellas nice glass.
