So I previously had an iPhone X and iPhone XS. I had always left True Tone on and it never bothered me.

now that I got my iPhone 12, True Tone seems to really make the display have a yellow tint on the whites. When I turn it off, it seems to correct.

Does anyone else turn True Tone off? Should I just turn it off and be happy with the device, or try and swap it?

Exactly the same thing here. The 12 Pro is much warmer with true tone than my X in direct comparison.. Also auto brightness seems to work differently on both devices.
For me it's not a deal breaker, I'll either turn TT off or get used to the warmer whites..

how do u adjust settings? I can only see you can turn it on or off.
I got this from another poster.

Go to settings, accessibility, display and text size and then scroll down and look for Color Filters a bit down the page. Tap on it to turn the filters on. Them adjust the Intensity to zero and drop the Hue to about 75%.

You can play with the Hue setting to get it where you want it. I did it on my Pro and it looks great.

I said in the other “yellow” thread that my 12 pro’s TT seems much more aggressive than it was on the X I came from. Artificial light - whether fluorescent or yellow - really makes it go very warm. It’s very blue if I turn it off but it really changes a lot if you have it on.

Seems like TT on the 12 is a lot more noticeable from what a lot of people are saying.

I use TT on my iPad and MBP and it's great, but have never used it on my X, XS, 11Pro or now the 12Pro as it makes the screen too yellow. The screens look fine with it off. When I'm on the computer or iPad the screen looks like a warm white and when I switch to the phone it looks really bright white compared to the device with TT.

Exaxt the same.
TT on XS is amazing, on iPad Pro 10.5 also.
TT on iPhone 12 is so yellowish.

I am going to return it because I need TT in my life. ;)

Thanks for your advice. Screen is ok now, but I‘m still not fully convinced ;)

XS was king but poor battery life (sadly).
