was any progress made past that point? Half-Life 1 would be really cool on PPC (and also HL2 could possibly compile for Leopard on core-image G4s/G5s, Source works on Leopard)

There is a release Here on MacintoshGarden but due to my own techinical limitations I'm still unable to fix the textures issue. Walls load fine but the models are transparent and yellowed

There's now a release of Xash3D for MorphOS which means it's finally possible to actually play Half-Life on a PowerMac even though not under Mac OS X - at least not yet but I got my hands on the source and am working on it - will keep you updated on progress...

actually let's make porting this a community effort - here's the link to the big endian patched sources for Xash3D:

you can clone the repo by installing git and typing
Code:
git clone --recursive -b big-endian https://github.com/IntriguingTiles/xash3d-fwgs
into the terminal.

I also uploaded a massive preconfigured macports install for PPC 10.5 with all the latest dev-tools needed to compile this:

Instructions:

1.) Download the official MacPorts installer and run it:

2.) Mount the custom install dmg and double click the provided install.command script - enter your user password when prompted and wait till the process is completed.

If you already have MacPorts installed you might want to consider backing up the /opt directory on your boot drive before proceeding with the install.

If anyone runs into any problems you can post them here and I'll try to help.
