I’m trying to connect my new ipad air 4 to my monitor lg 27ul850 using a oficial usb-c to ubs-c 6feet cable and is not working. Do i have to touch something on the monitor or in the ipad?

There are no settings to set, other than making sure the right input port is selected on the monitor itself. The usual suspects in such problem cases include the cable.

Your Apple USB-C cable must be incapable of transferring video signals then. Maybe it's just for charging.
Maybe cause is the cable that came with the MacBook. Gonna try with buying 3 feet cable usb-c to usb-c.
