Hey all, looking to see if my old Mac early 2007, can be turned into a PC for AutoCAD purposes. Total beginner in computer building.

you can pop in a capable GPU und install Windows 10 on it.

If you want to exchange the Board check out the Hackintosh scene. This is primary for using PC Hardware in a Mac Pro case. Using PC Hardware for Windows is even easier.

Just install Windows to an SSD on another PC. After windows was installed to the SSD, move it over to the Mac Pro.

This wont work on a 1.1, my Windows Disk would not boot directly. Just tried it recently.

also I am not sure about certificates in Uefi Mode, is a 1.1/2.1 effected? @tsialex ?
