That show pisses me off, my girlfriend told me about this kid having an XL2 so I went to check it out and it pissed me off sooo much that this 10 year old kid had all this ridiculous equipment.
haha yeah. but I agree with desenso, you're kind of a nut ;)

that's not at all what catches my eye about the show, it's the unrealistic items they use and the horrible technique they have for running the webcast. the 4 button remote controls that do infinite things and whatnot. The fact that he counts down 5-4-3-2 and then they start talking ON one. instead of 5-4-3-2-1 and then they talk (the italic numbers being silent numbers represented by hands.

But having technology isn't a bad thing in my eyes. He's doing SOMETHING with it, not like he's richie rich or something...hmm speaking of which, when was richie rich on? perhaps when you were a kid? What other shows did you watch, and did they actually effect you in a positive way like you're talking about? I can't think of any shows that had an effect on how I live my life. no role models or anything like that, all of that is real life.

I'm really not trying to start drama and I'm not saying any jerk kind of way, it's all fun.

From season four onwards Alias uses MacBook Pro's covered with a small red sticker. :)

Yes, they broke Chucks MacPro. However, the amount of dmage does not correspond with the drop from the hands of a thief. Everything spilled out of it like it didn't have any screws. They should of had it fall from a speeding car on to concrete.

I watched the movie "John Tucker Must Die" today, and everyone had Macs. I don't have pics right now but they had iBooks, PBs, and ACDs. Well, everyone except John Tucker, who had a Dell. He didn't deserve to have a Mac. :p

So I tried searching for my own screenshots because I know they are there, but I found it easier to use Engadget's. Dahlia, from the FX show The Riches, uses an iPhone. It just came in during the past few episodes of season 2 and here are two shots:

note: she does use it right side up most of the time
and

Also, Cal often uses a PowerBook at home. This post (http://www.engadget.com/2008/04/10/screen-grabs-dahlia-malloy-cant-decide-how-to-hold-her-iphone/ ) has other relevant posts of apple products being used in shows.

HIMYM (How I Met Your Mother) has loads of scenes with MBP's, iPhones, etc. I'll try grab some screens.

From Transformers,

ACDs EVERYWHERE!
:D

I want 3 of them!

That's because Apple probably didn't pay the studio or donate the equipment - so they don't show the product logo by using it upside-down...

The logo is on the back of it. I fail to see how holding it upside down will prevent you from seeing it anymore than holding it right side up.

Umm it's a show you know that right? Calm down. :)

I don't think keeping a gun in your butt crack is a good idea and I could never keep my iphone in the above-the-right-cheek position.

An upside down logo is still a logo. If they want to obscure it, the art dpt will find a way to physically mask it.

Personally, I'd assume the positioning was for the sake of composition. iPhone's optical sensor (by the earpiece) shuts off the screen when it's up to the head. To compose a more interesting shot, the director of photography may have wanted the phone to light up next to his face. In order to keep the proximity sensor from shutting off the phone, it was held upside down, and the sensor was not triggered.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer by Joss Whedon is nothing but Apple. Willow, the group's "hacker" is constantly seen with her Macbook (or whatever it was called back then), and countless of other times Apple computers are spotted.

There's a particular scene near the end of episode 17 season 7 that features iTunes, too.

I'm sure the spin-off Angel is the same somewhat.
