Since upgrading to tvOS 14.3 I am finding I can't stream my home library from my mac.

Metadata loads fine. I can see thumbnails.

When trying to play a video it starts loading with a spinner and timeline. Then it switches to a different spinner and hangs. Sometimes the screen goes dark. Then it hangs.

When it works it is faster now on wifi than on wired gigabit.

Videos vary from h264 to hvec HDR content. Bitrates vary from 8k up to 70k for 4K.

Sometimes it will play once, but switching to another video causes it to hang. You have to kill the app.

I tried rebooting the Mac, the Apple TV 4K and the router. I've tried deleting the library and starting with just a few videos.

Streaming to the Apple TV app on iOS 14.3 works just fine, so it appears to be limited to Apple TV device.

Had similar experience but additionally my metadata was very hit and miss. I rolled back to 14.2

Oh well. I see there are other issues with 14.3 too https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/tvos-14-3-home-sharing-issue.2275862/

Since I'm on an Apple TV 4K device, there doesn't seem to be a way to roll back since there is no longer USB on this device, unless there is some ethernet approach.

Hoping Apple captures good telemetry to see an issue / reads there forums.

Meanwhile I've had to switch to Plex which is working just fine. I just wish the app navigation worked better and it respected the subler metadata better / supported horizontal thumbnails

Here's hoping to 14.3.x works better.
