The best camera tech writer Thom Hogan uses a term "moving the cheese," which refers to moving of camera buttons, etc. moving when a new model (e.g. Nikon D5 to D6) is introduced. Heavy users mostly hate it when the cheese moves as a camera body matures, because they have to re-learn how to do the job they were already doing well on the old model. There is so much tech Apple could adopt foldable screens, no notches or islands, better wifi etc.
Instead Apple continues to choose to focus on the camera, and tiny twicks like dynamic island last year & the action buttion this year.
They have also adopted a subscription model like car crash detection. Whilst continuing to raise costs, this makes me to shake my head.
So I generally disagree with Marty80's comment. I do not want my iPhone Pro tool getting its cheese moved for things like foldable screens, no notches or islands, etc. Better WiFi does not require moving any cheese. Sometimes cheese does need moving to make things work better; for instance some day I expect Apple to improve the currently awful camera ergonomics, especially shutter release.
