Oh my God. Arrogance and ignorance are a terrible combination.

The 9G Pioneer Elite KURO TVs (Pro-111FD and Pro-151FD), Pioneer Signature Elite (Pro-101FD and 161FD) and 9.5G KRP-500M and KRP-600M are recognized in the A/V and Home Theater by professional reviewers and owners alike (don't take my word for it...Google it on your F8000!) as best in class for picture quality - to this day!

They were introduced in 2008-2009, and were only equalled by Panaasonic's VT-60 and ZT-60 panels.

Don't take my word for it. Google it.

What was the price pointin 08-09 for all those models you rattled off? I know the Pioneer TVs are a high price point than what you will find at you local electronics store. So as usual my point is overlooked, the TVs you are referencing stand in a different category than todays TVs.

Pro-151 MSRP $6500... yeah i think we are done here.
ME: "I was looking at a really nice Lexus"
YOU:"yeah but the Rolls Royce Phantom is way better."
ME: "thats not the price range i'm looking at or comparing"
YOU: "Doesnt matter the phantom is better in every way blah blah blah"

ME: "Hey i'm gonna fly a commercial airliner to the bahamas."
YOU: "Take the space shuttle, its way better in every way"

Jesus, you're that guy.

To get back to to the original question and add to one of the first and more constructive answers it appears that roomie remote can use the HDMI CEC capabilities of chromecast to power on a HDMI CEC compliant TV.

Good find. I had not thought of CEC. If that works with the Chromecast, one would think it would work with other CEC compliant devices also. So for example, if OP had a CEC compliant Samsung TV attached to a CEC compliant Blu-ray player and the BR player had wake on LAN... it would seem turning on the BR player would power up the TV with CEC?
