few things I prefer in official App over Tweetbot:
  • Type few letters and twitter suggest for you what you are looking for, live search. Tweetbot you have to search exact terms
  • O-App has stats on the tweet in the timeline, TB you have to swipe left for it
  • clicking on a tweeting will take you to the replies, tweetbot gives you options for the tweet

Apparently these new apis are pretty limited. Seems like the one new thing we’ll see is support for polls.

Which frankly is one of the few things I actually care about.

Better listing of replies would be nice, though. I'm not sure if this is an issue on Tweetbot's end, but I'm guessing it's actually the API limiting what posts are shown.

Tweetbot, a popular alternative to the Twitter app, was today updated to version 5.2 on iPhone and iPad, an update that adds trackpad support and a few other features.

With trackpad support, Tweetbot is compatible with iPad cases like the Magic Keyboard or the Folio Touch from Logitech, or standalone mice and trackpad options. Many of the trackpad features worked before, but with the update, Tweetbot supports gestures in the Tweetbot timeline and introduces pointer support for many of the icons in the app.

A two finger swipe on a tweet in the timeline to the right opens up a reply interface, while a two finger swipe to the left shows a tweet's details.

Along with trackpad support, today's Tweetbot update adds support for opening links in the Opera, Edge, and DuckDuckGo browsers, and there's now an option to open universal links in the apps that support them.

Tweetbot for iOS can be downloaded from the App Store for $4.99. [Direct Link]

How to view thread of the tweet??

So I assume you're saying that there's no way to view the thread of the tweet? Right..been wondering where could any mistakes I've made for a while already. Now it's all clear of such a waste of my money. Sigh.
