How's that? I lived in Park Slope from 2012-2019, and it's very much not hipster at all. Williamsburg/Bushwick, sure, but Park Slope is not hipster land.
Oh sure, Williamsburg and Bushwick are the epicenter of Brooklyn hipster-ism, but Park Slope (and nearby Carroll Gardens) is definitely “well to do young professionals with kids”. It’s more hipster than Flatbush or Crown Heights (but Crown Heights is definitely increasing in hipster-ism) and way more than anywhere south of Prospect Park. Hard to say how it compares to Bed-Stuy on that scale, some parts of Bed-Stuy are super hipster, but it gets pretty rough the further east you go.

As for these stands, I get using a laptop riser, I use one myself (but that’s more to save space on my desk while I’m using an external mouse and keyboard), but I don’t really get using an iPad stand. For things like video, Apple’s cases are always sufficient, and I don’t think I’d prop a notebook at an angle in an attempt to make writing easier, and the same goes for an iPad.

What is ergonomic about tilting a keyboard like that? That puts too much stress on your wrists at a bad angle. You are just asking for carpel tunnel issues like that. I can see some benefit if you are only using the laptop monitor and wnat to raise the screen while using an external keyboard but that just makes it more complex.
Due to circumstances, I don’t have my desktop Mac (which is an old 2012 Mac mini, anyway, so it’s time for an upgrade), and all I have for WFH is a similar vintage Dell laptop. Keyboard isn’t great, and the touchpad is torture to use. So I have a tenkeyless keyboard with mechanical switches and a Kensington Wireless Expert Mouse trackball. Takes up a lot of space on my desk, so a riser is basically a necessity for me. I don’t think anyone uses a laptop riser unless they’re also using an external keyboard and mouse, or a Wacom Cintiq.
