So you work for Twelve South? And you created an account to respond with snark to people who think you’re overcharging? In my industry, we have a name for that: bad form.
Give the guy a break. Anytime you can talk directly to a vendor is a great opportunity for customer feedback. Use it. Beats venting on the internet every time. Be constructive and be respectful. If you think it is overpriced, don't buy it. End of story.

Ha. If you can make this, and package it, and ship it for $3? Well then what are you doing on MacRumors forums? You should be out doing this yourself! LOL. Seriously, the packaging and tariffs are more than $3.
I sell FBA and have product manufactured in China. I know what things cost to make. Is it made from titanium or something?

You're giving the right advice to the wrong party. Anytime a vendor gets a chance to interact with potential customers, the best foot always, always has to be put forward. A constructive and respectful interaction in this thread could have potentially overcome objections about price: "That Andrew's a cool dude who seems to care about what he does. I might give his product a try". None of that happened. Trying to go tit for tat on snarky comments does nothing but reinforce an already negative impression. It also invites more snark and takes the focus away from the product the vendor wants to sell.

I think it’s overpriced but that wouldn’t have stopped me from buying it necessarily, as I own one of their stands and it’s been perfect for me. But like I said, this is bad form. His behavior here really left a bad taste in my mouth. His coming here and being snarky stifles the conversation, because now everyone is aware that what they say will be seen by the company owner, and they might get a sassy reply from him. (And yes, I know people will be like “It doesn’t bother me” but there are absolutely people who won’t post at all because of it.) The conversation has already shifted and the fact that you’re telling ME to be respectful shows the problem.

His behavior is what will keep me from wanting to support TS. That’s quite literally money out of his pocket.

I’m just going to leave this here, what if Twelve South built this for an iMac redesign and possibly a new TB Display redesign where Apple introduces height adjustable built in stands. In that case it makes perfect sense, it actually works perfect with the LG Apple collaboration display, as I received my curve riser today and works great with my TS notebook curve combo. However I could see current iMac‘s height to eye level ratio a little tall for shorter or low riding chair people. That’s why I’m betting new iMacs redesign will have adjustable height, as it should in 2020/21, come on Apple...

I’m 100% happy with my purchase as it actually looks killer with the other curve product next to it, it fits my black and walnut color theme Perfect. I could have went cheaper from Amazon but this new curve feels very high quality and Twelve South‘s customer service has been top notch, and that’s a big part of my purchasing options I factor in.

👍 Twelve South (at least one MR user approves this new product, @andrewbg)
