As a charging stand with no image it looks fine, as a digital photo frame it looks fine, but it makes NO SENSE to me to combine these products like this. That first product shot with the airpod case obscuring the photo looks absolutely ridiculous.
It's not a digital frame. You put a regular, printed 4x6 photo into it.

It's designed for use in places like desks and nightstands where you might not want an ugly charger lying about. When I'm not charging my phone, I'd rather see a photo on my side table than an ugly charging stand or a mess of cables. When I'm charging my phone (at night, after I've gone to bed) I don't really care that the photo is covered up. It's far more aesthetically pleasing during the day when not in use.

This is a weird product, while using it, you can't see the picture.
Most people don't have their phone on the charger all the time. And if you do, you really shouldn't. It's not good for the battery. With that being said, the amount of time the phone is on the charger << the amount of time the phone is not on the charger.

Now where do people often have picture frames standing around? For example their night stand. So you'd be charging your phone at night. When you're asleep. And won't me looking at that picture anyways.

Or on your desk/at your office. So you have a charger conveniently available should you need one during a day and can give your phone a quick charge. And for the remainder, you have a picture frame.

It's really not actually all that weird.

I think it’s clever and marketable but hey not everything is made for everyone.

It’s a picture frame until you want to charge a device. It’s practical in that one needn’t clutter up a nightstand or end table or wherever with two items. People don’t normally charge their devices 24/7.
