The 9to5 mac review mentions that you have to keep one hand on the stand to yank the iphone out of it. How much of a stick is there?

Not bad at all. I love mine. Very easy to assemble and rather enjoyable. I will probably buy a couple more pending something better doesn't come along.

Ordered the Lightening Dock. Made the mistake opting for FREE shipping. No tracking number or how it was shipped. Almost a week and still don't have it. 3 emails and no reply from them as to how it was shipped. Finally emailed me that it was shipped on Thurs but don't know how. Customer service sucks. Be aware.

But case won't fit

35 for the stand + 19 for another cable because your not going to want to disassemble it everytime you need to go somewhere = 55 plus tax.

screw that. I got a better solution.

Very true but if have a case on the iPhone it won't charge, the Twelve South HiRise for iPhone is adjustable in connector height so it works with case when docked. But I bought a cheap one from ebay looks just like yours and was able to take it apart and shave of some plastic so the connectors stands higher. Its worth a try for a few pounds

What does make me sick is Hi rise $35 (£21) in USA yet $ becomes £ over here.
