Yes. Yes it is.

Chose any post - and you want, click on it and read the top comments - every single one will be negative and moaning.

It's not even anti Apple stuff either, it's anti anything and everybody. This forum must be full of the most miserable people on earth.

More often than not, when donating to a charity most of the money never finds the "cause". One could simply spend their money on what they want and enjoy without your ridicule.

Some people believe paying the Apple tax is flushing money down the toilet. Obviously most here do not. If you cannot afford $30 for a candle why hate those that can.

Yeah, good point. Hear that everybody? Don't donate to anything anymore!

That "New Mac Smell," let's be honest, is the smell of a factory, and the scent of the blood, sweat, and tears of little Chinese children who wonder if maybe one day, they'll be able to afford anything like what they build while chained to those machines. I kid, but mostly it's probably true. It's not like Apple makes anything here. Remember when they made that big deal about how some PARTS of the iTrashCan (Mac Pro, Wastebasket Edition) in the US?

Apple seems increasingly to have jumped the shark. I just wish they'd focus on making things "just work" again, instead of slavishly following people trying to catch up TO Apple... shoehorning more an more stuff into a tinier and tinier space, but losing sight of the big picture.

The big picture is this: if people en masse decide Apple isn't cool anymore... watch TF out.

Better to have dried bergamot, lemon, and tarragon in a bowl or vase. Candles suck the oxygen out of the air, which stifles creativity, and are a fire risk (don't need more of those in greater Silicon Valley). Cheaper too.

I had been pretty skeptical of the value of this thing; but your post just convinced me to buy one. Thanks!

I bought some chem lights bulk (50 in a package). Each holds holds a reasonable brightness for at least four hours (though they still glow for a whole day, just not enough to light up a room or anything). They individually cost well under 50-cents. They aren't a fire hazard. Are non-toxic and recyclable. So much more entertaining and useful. (Also, kids love them.)

But if you love candles, sure.

I still like TwelveSouth's other products.

And if you post anything positive you're called a "fan boy" or an "apologist" 🙄

True story right there! Never really ceases to amaze me. The ability to say what you want to anyone, knowing no repercussion will come about it, pretty disturbing. I just dropped my twitter account as it was no longer fun anymore. Facebook is next.

I'm hoping Twelve South will do something similar when the iPhone X goes on sale - the scent of a melting credit card. What a time to be alive.
If you want the scent of melting plastic why not just set your credit card on fire and save $30.
