Does anyone here use ping?
Does anyone here use ping?
Given that Ping has not exactly been a rousing success, there probably is little point in 'pinging' if it does not get out on another channel as well. Why is it all or nothing? I don't want all of my Ping activity to be tweeted. It would be nice if I could choose what I do and to not want posted to Twitter.
Also a smart way of apple sneaking its way into Facebook...
Seeing as twitter has an official FB app to update users FB status from Tweets....
So now the route goes Ping! > Twitter > Facebook....
LOL.... very smart apple... a nice little trojan horse!
I don't have a facebook or a twitter account.
I don't know what a tweet is.
I really could care less about what someone is listening to nor do I care to share what I am listening to.
As long as I can turn it off completely, others can ping as much as they want.

Kinda wish ping would let you use it to market podcasts too because there are so many it would be nice to be able to compare with others, and that would really help people on twitter, because now instead of just linking to there page they could like to the itunes store.
You don't know what a tweet is? Seriously? I don't care if you don't use the service, but to not know what it is, well that's just obtuse. Twitter is all over the interwebs, all over the idiot box, all over paper advertising. How can you not know what it is?

Nice but
1) doesn't include name of song or artist in Tweet
2) doesn't use a URL shortener

Well, tweets are articles (or e-mails), just very short ones (and very public ones). Most posts on daringfireball for example would probably fit into a tweet.Nothing is THAT important that it can't wait to be written in an email or article.
There is nothing wrong with making blogging convenient (you seem to imply that making it easy encourages the blogging of trivial stuff and for that reason it is of dubious moral value).
