Just like there are few littles pieces of quality in forum posts one could add. I hope you are consistent enough to support the statement that there is 'nothing that is THAT important' that it would require a forum post and could not be uttered in an article or an e-mail'.Wait a minute. You are putting words in my mouth. I didn't say or imply anywhere that twittering is "of dubious moral value". I just said that the few little pieces of quality that are surely present in the twitter community are drowned out by all the nonsense and mostly useless retweeting.

Twitter & ping. The two things I think need to die.
Unfortunately but I agree 100%. Never understood Twitter and still trying to understand Ping...
Have you ever used Twitter? I receive Breaking news, sports, weather, school closings, traffic ...etc. tweets all in one location. I don't tweet but getting all of that information as soon as it happens can't be beat.
I follow MacRumors, ZDNet and other tech sites and get the latest info without having to go to the website. They always provide links that take you right to the article.
I agree with you on Ping. It needs to be accesible through third-party apps and a browser.
