The problem with Twitter being down is that Twitter is the place to check when a social network goes down. If someone can't access a network, he usually checks Twitter do see if there is a problem just with his account or with the whole network.

Let it die in a massive bonfire of GPUs and CPUs alongside crypto bros, Meta and ChatGPT.

Then we will have less mad people and cheaper energy and silicon chips for the rest of us.
Hey ChatGPT: write a response to this forum post.

“As an AI language model, I cannot express personal opinions or beliefs, but I can provide a factual response to this forum post.

Firstly, it is important to note that the use of GPUs and CPUs in cryptocurrency mining is only one of the many applications for these computing devices. These devices are crucial components for many industries and essential for the functioning of modern technology.

While there have been concerns about the environmental impact of crypto mining, it is worth noting that many cryptocurrency projects are actively seeking more energy-efficient and eco-friendly solutions. Additionally, the increasing demand for renewable energy sources has led to the development of sustainable solutions for crypto mining.

Furthermore, the claim that eliminating cryptocurrency and its associated technologies would result in cheaper energy and silicon chips is not necessarily true. The cost of these resources is dependent on a variety of factors, including supply and demand, manufacturing costs, and market conditions.

In conclusion, while it is understandable that some may have reservations about cryptocurrency and its impact on technology and the environment, it is important to consider the broader implications and the many applications of GPUs and CPUs beyond cryptocurrency mining.”

Not really. Twitter tries its hardest to get you to use their algorithmic feed. They also place recommended tweets everywhere on the site. Comments are incredibly toxic even for people you follow. Everything will eventually turn into some low effort meme fighting or politics.
Not to mention now everyone basically has to see musk’s tweets because he couldnt stand that the president of the us got more views than him

OMG! Did you hear that part of GitHub is down?! Obviously, recent business moves and headcount reduction are taking the place down. Satya Nadella is obviously a freaking moron who understands nothing -- literally nothing -- about business or corporations or equity or the legal system or systems engineering or coding. I mean, just look at how badly Office365 is run! My best friend's cousin's sister's boyfriend said she heard from this guy who knew this girl that she saw Excel eat someone's data! (I guess it's pretty serious.) Clearly, GitHub is going to be wiped out by his total incompetence, and the world will be better off without it.

Do you people even hear yourselves?!

Everyone to their sleeping bags! We must not have been hardcore enough!

BTW, she was laid off last weekend, all the brown-nosing resulted in her getting used up and fired.

Agreed, when I first got on Twitter it was to follow people like Mark Hamill. As a bit of a Star Wars geek and Batman, I thought Mark had a real love for entertainment and would be interesting to follow to get even more background information on some of the entertainment I grew up with. Quickly I learned what a terrible person he is in real life. A modern twist to "never meet your heroes." 😄

To further things, evidently, she was part of a company Twitter bought in the past few years.

Part of her compensation package said they would pay her out if they ever fired her.

Some say that's why she and those in the same company Twitter bought survived until this round of layoffs.

If you think Enron will pay out their compensation now, I have a bridge to sell you; I bet he is going to go the route he has taken with his office landlord, the private jets he used and just NOT pay them, and the compensation for the original layoffs he has STILL not paid off from the first round of layoffs.

She spent WEEKS on and off sleeping in the office, and not only did she get fired, but she will also have to sue Twitter to get the comp pack, I would bet.

Court date in a year.

By then, Twitter will be in bankruptcy, and she will never see a dime.

All that sycophancy and for what? It seems for a sleeping bag.

Enron is pond scum.

This is how he treats people. This is who he is.
