You've gotta' be joking.
Nope, and before any of this started he said as much! Funny how nobody remembers that:

“In a TED interview, Musk said he aimed to make Twitter a "platform for free speech around the globe", hailing free speech a "societal imperative for a functioning democracy" and insisting that he had not made the offer to increase his wealth.”

Wikipedia

What he says and what he does are most often two totally different things.

Like when he said he was going to pay severance to all the twitter employees.

...and then he didn't.

...and now they have to sue him to get it.

...and they might have to stand in line with his other creditors.

because he stiffed them too.

Because the genius super brain biz guy won't even pay office rent.

Sigh.

It's funny how he was a free speech absolutist, until people started fact-checking him on Twitter, and then he thought it was okay to remove the Community Notes on his own posts because he doesn't like to have people tell him he's wrong. And then he unbans an account that posted screenshots from child p*rn videos. Interesting where his priorities lie...

The dude is full of crap.

Media Matters: Seems to have a political bent to its articles. Anyway you should include the articles on Threads some want to flock to…

You are of course saying Media Matters is the free speech platform?

Truly the hallmark of a compelling product -- you're more excited about the welfare and subsidies you'll receive than you are about actually getting the car.
Ahhh that’s just spitballing. But there’s something to be said by getting Tesla, which I do like with the added bonus of lots of incentives. Anyway it’s a vehicle that does a decent job of getting from point a to b.

But I think this has now officially digressed into off-topic.

The number one reason why people are selling off their Tesla is.....

Survey says:

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

He's sinking Twitter like a billionaire's sub, and the side effect is that he's getting Tesla owners to sell them off their cars because of his behavior!

Truly.

A business genius.

A Mars-sized business genius.

Don’t worry Tesla will be just fine.

You could take the above and replace Tesla with apple and must with cook and it would look the same. And apple is just fine.

He publicly admitted that he has autism. He is definitely unwell and his actions on several occasions are in line with his condition.

And now Musk has reinstated an account that posted CSAM images yesterday... o_O

This guy is such a POS.

I heard about that earlier, simply mind boggling, I was permanently suspended for criticizing that lowlife. Yet people like that get re-instated?

Between this and how when he bought twitter he banned anti-fascists at the request of neo-Nazi’s, platforms neo-Nazi’s, uses their rhetoric, and boosts their tweets, I can’t imagine how anyone could defend him anymore.

Sure it was “just a photobomb”, looks like he was projecting all along about when he attacked the cave diver guy.

How much lower will he go, is the question.

I think we all have to agree that it warrants some concern that anyone stanning Musk is the worst person you have ever met.
Believe it or not your instincts may have been spot on! Especially for me…

I like these threads as I remember when Elon Musk could do no wrong. Then he flipped from left to right politically and now all he can do is wrong.

Now I am personally a globalist and couldn’t care less about left or right as I believe my way is the future. Geopolitics is constantly changing and developing and a global town hall is just what I am looking for. Actually you should fear a guy like me more than Musk.

Anyway, Twitter is not public. Little old ladies are not going to lose their life savings no matter what Musk does because there are no public shares, any losses are mostly wealthy business interests that can easily absorb it.

As stated before, Musk said he is not in it for the money yet people constantly prattle about monetary loss. He doesn’t care! And now Zuckerberg has become your saviour and given you all an alternative, so just leave X if you want.

Let the man do his thing and judge it in the end as he has only had the thing for months and not years.

Musk is 52 and it takes time to make things happen. So I don't begrudge him for for fast tracking things like he is.

Anyway, I am your real enemy, not one world government but folk like me probably won’t get invited to supper by left or right - hehehehe…

Now, I have to get back to planning a musical festival for the kids (I say kids as I’m in my 60s) as the music industry has gone to **** - really I can’t say that here - ok, crap. But I will twirl the ends of my mustache in a sinister way as I do it.

Later…

What does the fact (if it's actually true) that he has Autism have to do with it? Do you understand what it is to be on the spectrum?
Well, I am not his physician to know for sure but if you look at the Asperger's syndrome characteristics (this is what he admitted he has), mainly regarding social interaction because this is the part visible to most of us, you will recognise patterns in his behaviour that fit.

Twitter without a bird is like Apple without an apple.
Exactly. Brand image and recognition play a crucial role in the market. This change seems quite illogical and unnecessary, as it could potentially harm the established identity and perception of the brand. Having said that, all the people whining and threatening to leave if Elon took over are still there. So who knows?
