It’s amusing how it triggers low IQ individuals who can’t live without restrictions.
The 4000 character limit is something you can utilize or not.
It’s about your freedom of choice many cry about.
You can read a 4000 character post or just ignore it.

We often cover things related to apps/services outside of just Apple-related things, and Twitter is notable for iPhone users. Feedback is taken though!
I dislike Twitter and most “social me, me, me!” media like Instagram, TikTok, etc collectively referred to as the SnapTikTakoGrams.

However, I don’t mind getting up to date about what’s going on on apps and platforms that are heavily used by mobile users at large, iPhones included, without having to search for it. Also because you are way more impartial in the delivery.

Also dislike the idea that members can’t skip past the title hence everybody else have to go bust. I equate it to going down the mall and having to get into every single store and have to eat, sniff, try on, sip-on every single item offered by every single store whether it’s to their liking or not… there’s a line here.

My .00002 cents

Delete your Twitter accounts.
And like I allude to often, 10 years ago! Musk didn’t make it trash, it has been, is and will be since it launched.

Yes anyone not liking off topic stories is a low iq individual. Great, in depth analysis. Almost as sophisticated as most tweets on that silly echo chamber.

Adults are just bigger babies.
Yes! The difference is the price of the toys.

I completely believe that we never really leave school… “who got what and who’s wearing what” but with more expensive clothes, houses and cars that are parked outside at the driveway so they can impress their neighbors, instead of the garage also because said garage is filled with useless stuff (instead of letting that useless stuff be left at the stores they were bought from)

Don’t get me started on the corporate world…

Edit: alright, that was a vent. Your liner was so on point.

Seems like part of the genius of Twitter was limiting the character count. That made the platform fundamentally different and elevated people who were good in that format. Removing that…seems risky.

Twitter will eventually increase its character limit from the current 280 to 4,000, the company's new CEO, Elon Musk, has confirmed on Twitter.

In reply to a question whether rumored plans for Twitter to increase the character limit to 4,000 were true, Musk responded "Yes," without providing additional information. Twitter originally had a character limit of 140 before it was increased to 280 in 2017.

The exact details of the increase in character limit are not yet known, but previous reports and tweets by Musk suggested Twitter may make it easier for users to break up long chains of texts into multiple tweets part of a thread. It seems that an increase to 4,000 characters would eliminate that idea, and users could simply post longer blocks of text in single posts.

Twitter announced over the weekend that it plans to relaunch its Twitter Blue subscription service on Monday, which will offer users a verified blue checkmark and other perks such as the ability to edit tweets and upload higher-resolution 1080p videos. Twitter Blue will relaunch with a higher price of $11/month for iPhone users after Musk criticized Apple's 30% commission taken from in-app purchases.

Days after he bought Twitter he said increasing the character limit was planned. As recently as Nov 27th Musk posted “It’s on the todo list” when someone tweeted the limit should be 1000 characters. So suddenly it’s 4000? Let’s wait to see.

4000 characters? For Chinese language, that's like a chapter or two of text. 😄 They can just post complete articles/short novels in a tweet.

To me, the current character count has always been a bit too short. 500 seems about perfect considering where my tweets start before edits. But sure, 4000. That seems like over kill.

As the ”richest man” in the galaxy and CEO of Merdaverse Corp I too am increasing the length of Merdeposts to 4000 characters long so that I can manipulate my bootlicking followers easier and make longer attacks against my critics and anyone who wants to tax me.

I thought he dropped to second last week. Is he back to the richest?

I can't figure out what it is that Twitter "does"? I did Facebook off/on till 2014 and determined it useless. I never did "Tweet", but had an account once and it looked like internet trash strewn all over a digital highway; a wasteland. Why do people spend time looking at it? I read in the papers that Elon Mask bought it; friends and family can't shut up about it. Why is it such an ordeal it is on MacRumors?
It is great if you follow people that don’t live in controversy, so avoid politicians, journalists, many celebrities and such.

I never post but I follow a few people (historians, fitness trainers etc) and some info is good.
