Personally I don't care about Twitter integration, I don't use it. I do use Facebook, I don't need it to be fully built in but I would like it to work like it does on Android. It's not built into Android phones either, the features come as part of the app. I would like to be able to take a picture and be able to upload it directly to a Facebook album and have contact picures sync correctly. That's all I'm looking for.
Plus my whole family is on Facebook and my parents at least somewhat understand how it works. They do not get Twitter, hell my father thought a tweet was sending a txt message to someone and adding ":tweet" at the end.

Twitter makes me love people I dont know and Facebook makes me hate people I do. I for one am glad for it.

Twitter is a lot faster and more interactive/open/important than Facebook.

Can understand why Twitter has been given priority.

I on the other hand don't want the silent switch to silence everything. For example, my morning alarm should still go off.

Actually that would be a nice feature. For every reminder or calendar event, to have an option "ring even if in silent mode". Hey Apple you listening? :)

I was even thinking "sound profiles." You could actually set what you want to make noise, what you want to vibrate, what you want to do both, and what you want absolutely silent in each "profile." Then you could set what profile you want each side of the switch to represent.
