Anyone here have two watches for two different "looks"? I have a Series 1 SS and am very happy with it and have a lot of bands for it, some custom made. I am thinking of getting the grey ceramic as well for a different look though not sure it's worth it. I also don't want to do this unless they can both pair pretty seamlessly with my phone (6 plus). Thanks for any thoughts.

No not a dumb idea. The Apple watch even supports auto switching between watches. Last report was that you can have up to 5 watches paired to a single iPhone. Just put on the one you want and it will be the "Active" watch. You can share data like your health / exercise and music.

Many owners do exactly what you want to do. Maybe a business professional look, a casual look, even a "exercise" only watch. It is only a matter of money.

Hope not. I have S2SS and now S3SBSS. I find the series 3 space black stainless about as different as you can get from the S2 stainless. I considered ceramic, but for nearly double the cost of the stainless, I think the SBSS in particular is as durable as I need for my very active life, and it looks great.

I also am a regular stainless and black stainless steel Apple Watch owner. Even though I like the High shine of the stainless steel Apple Watch, the black stainless Apple Watch has exceeded my expectations with durability and how it pairs well with other bands, contrary to the difficulty of pairing with a black color. More specifically, a Brown band or My regular/black stainless steel link bands.

Thanks. I've also thought about the black SS.

Thanks. Also thinking of getting the 42 instead of the 38 (which is what I have in the SS), but have to see if I can find adapters that work with my existing custom straps.

How do you get your watch to show how many steps you’ve taken on the actual face like that

It works fine for me. I'm on my third I got a space grey SS at launch and when series 2 came out they had a series 0 SS with link band for cheaper than the link band on it's own so I picked that up and I switched for different looks and you can pair to both and have the phone switch between them based on which watch you are wearing. Now that series 3 came out I picked up a white ceramic series 2 for about half price on ebay. So I really like the different looks and they all work pretty seamless. You can even set up the new watch from a backup of your old watch and it will be set up with all of your settings.

Could you send me a screenshot of the app? Different apps with the same wording came up in my searches

Sorry. The IOS icon is abbreviated WatchHealth, but apparently the app is Watch My Health. I mostly use the app because it shows calories consumed per the MyFitnessPal app, so I can glance and remind me where I am throughout the day without opening MFP. Here are some iPhone pics and a watch screen print:

I sold my SS 0 watch and bought the SBSS 3 in September. I missed having the SS so I just bought the SS 3 watch. Now I have both. Couldn’t be happier. I can move from SS to SBSS seamlessly.

So does this mean that the activity rings sync? If I wear my old aluminum S0 to do some outside work and then chanbe into my SS S3 later with the S3 show changing in my Move/Exercise/Stand goals?

Yes. Whenever you switch watches, everything will sync over to the watch you just put on in just a minute or two.

When I switch watches I generally take the first one off, put it in airplane mode, and on the charger. Once at 100% I turn it off (still in airplane mode) and store it. Then take next watch, turn it on, turn airplane mode off and wait for location based complications to catch up--sometimes takes a few mins, but the watch is ready to use for other things in about 10 seconds after connection to phone. Generally use S2 on regular days and S3 on workout (run) days with LTE. Wash and repeat.

Is that what yours is doing? Do you need to enable that? My sport has been linked to my phone for about 5 minutes and it shows no activity data. But the SS I'm wearing shows my day's activities. My phone is currently linked to the sport.

Make sure the watch app is set to auto switch when you switch watches. Also, try restarting the watch.

Apple support documents say it should.

EDIT: There it goes. It took about 10 minutes. However, I was still wearing my SS S3. The phone was linked to the S0 but I was wearing the S3.

Hmm. This is handy. While I wear my S3 99% of the time, tomorrow I have to do some outside work and it would be nice to wear my old aluminum watch instead.

For those of you switching between two watches, how accurate do you find the steps and distance consolidation in the Health app? I started wearing my son's old Series 0 38mm for sleep tracking, and times when I have my Nike+ S3 charging during the day, but the data consolidation outside of the Activity app seems lacking.

Today I've worn both watches about half the time. The S3 shows 1,826 steps in the Health app, the S0 shows 1,202 (and the iPhone X shows 725). The total steps in the Health app is 2,452 (which is short), but the Activity app shows 3,028 (as does the S3). The total mileage is similarly short.

Any suggestions for getting the Health app to update correctly? I've checked the data sources, and the order is S2, S0 then iPhone X. Thanks.

Actually I don’t think it’s dumb at all.

I have the original Apple Watch SS. Now I bought a series 3 Nike space grey with a black sport loop. Love having one for dress and one for casual.
