Demo units… damaged? I don’t think this is exactly a cause to worry lol. It’s a bunch of people ranging from kids to old people touching these devices and not handling them with care cus it isn’t their iPhones. Of course they’re gonna get damaged
 
So it is true! The blue didn't look to scratched as the Max but the iPhone Air Black - was suppppper bad.

Think these are easily getting scratched and it appears the anodized aluminum is not helping. While visiting the store today, did see some models where the color appears to have gone. Also the ring like design caused by MagSafe charger was very visible on the black Air. All the Pro models had some chipping under the camera plateau. Very unsightly. Looks like having a case is a must and I will definitely use a clear case for my Orange 17 Pro Max.

At first thought that they may be some manufacturing defects. But don't think so.

Though I am eagerly waiting for my Orange 17 Pro Max to be delivered, was very disappointed to see the color chipped phones.
