Did apple ever pre authorize you any money? If they did then I would guess something else went wrong. And what is the CSS?

Yeah. I got the pre-auth charge. They told me everything was good on my order except it was waiting on this agreement thing a since it didn't get signed my order got canceled.

F- You Apple. I can live with my 2G awhile longer.

So does anyone know where this mysterious terms and conditions website is at to accept the terms and conditions? I've never heard of this before now.

I haven't either and now I'm worried. I won't get emails about att either because I'm still on a family plan. Mine is "prepared for shipment" though so i guess things are going ok..

I never agreed to any terms and conditions for either of my orders on Apple.com that I can remember. I received 2 of the AT&T CSS emails. Both orders are "Prepared for Shipment" now.

First I've heard of it. I only got a status link in my email from AT&T and that's it. Nothing on the order form that I recall either.

Sounds like a trumped-up reason (that you can't challenge because it has no basis in reality) to deny a guy his order.

My order was almost canceled with apple because I didn't see the email to agree to terms and conditions, but I did see the email that told me there was a problem with my order so was able to get it taken care of.

Are you a new customer? I never got any e-mail but 2 out of 4 of my orders went through fine...

I've never gotten any emails other than my order confirmation from Apple. Never received anything from AT&T, I just went to their order status page on my own and found my order. Otherwise I would have no idea I even had an ATT order.

I've had mobile me (.Mac) since 2000. Apple never sent me a second email. When I told them that - they said 'Oh, well there was check box on the order finalization page that I was supposed to click to agree to the terms'.

I don't think there is an online store on Earth that would let you proceed with an order without checking a crucial terms agreement box if there is one. If what they're telling you is true, it should have returned you back to the previous page and alerted you that the form was incomplete and you needed to check that box. That's ludicrous.

I'm going to call them again and ask them to prove that they alerted me I had to 'sign' something.

was this email from apple or att? Did you get the CSS email?

Agree on all counts.

OK that's too many cancels for me. Calling Apple now. Isn't it funny how you're on hold with Apple for like half an hour and ATT picks up in 3 seconds? The one thing ATT does better than Apple.

Are you talking about your upgrade eligibility? I did the same thing, I canceled my order with AT&T since I had 2 reservations.

The AT&T rep said the upgrade eligibility comes back after 72 hours. It hasn't been quite that for me yet, I still have to wait until about midnight here, so mine's not back yet.

I hope so cause I had to cancel my Apple order and it's showing that I'm only eligible for one at full price still. So I'll just wait.

Yeah, just got a cancellation as well. I was upgrading two lines. Never saw anything having to do with any kind of agreement. I've been on hold with Apple now for about 40 minutes...

There was absolutely no box to check to "agree to the terms" on the Apple Store.... once you selected to have your phone delivered instead of "reserving" then it just put it into your cart just as any other item like a laptop or iMac, etc... there was nothing special.

Two of my orders went through fine and two were cancelled, lady told me the same thing about the "terms" it seems that is just what they use to get rid of you or something.

I just got off the phone with Apple (second time). They told me it wasn't the agreement (which he told me I would have up to a week to sign), all he could see was that it was an internal error - probably due to my duplicate order with AT&T. He said since it was canceled, it couldn't be reinstated. But he was able to get me a reservation at my local Apple store for the 24th. So it's something. I just have to make sure my eligibility is back before Thursday.

You cancelled one of your dup orders right? Then it cancelled the Apple order?
Are you sure the "internal error" was due to the double ordering or could it be something else?
