The changes to the iPhone7 do not appear to be compelling for me. I would appreciate the dual lens/sensor, but I do not want a big phone. I would prefer a 4" phone with flush dual lens, but that is not happening.

I am therefore leaning towards picking up an iPhone6s 128GB on launch. Any idea on what the price will be?

There's no typical at this juncture. Apple magic is fading.
Or tech has gotten pretty mature at this point.

You might have to jump on that 128GB model quick, or possibly buy used as it is likely the 128GB 6s gets discontinued when the new iPhone comes out. Apple did the same with the 6, and only offers the 16GB and 64GB models now; in silver or space gray (no gold).

It's such a more pleasurable experience staying one generation behind the latest tech. The production bugs have been worked out, the item is cheaper, availability is never an issue and any quirks with the device have had a year to surface.

The way I look at it, when I'm a creaky old man on my last days, will always have been one generation or two behind the latest gadget have made any difference to my life? Heck no.
