I have tried it a few times but after selling my air 2 and not getting full value due to a few scratches I will always use a case now.

I used to think like this too. But how much less are we talking about? $50? One easily spends more on a case. Even at $100 less, is it worth the inconvenience? I am starting to question my own habit of using cases in my iPads.

Was about £20 off the original quoted price.

I love the naked feel of the pro but I also love the different positions I can prop it up in versus holding it or having it propped on a folded leg kind of position. The Smart Cover silicon case combo is excellent for this and it feels amazing in the hand. Not sure how to describe it but the silicon is a great feel.

It's a far better feel on the pro than the silcone case is on my 6S plus for some reason.

Any of you guys use your Pro "naked", without a case? Just trying tonight and liking how light(er) it is.

My mom got her iPad with just the Smart Cover and no back case, and I got to try that out. I really liked that it added minimum weight, and the Smart Cover acts as a stand, but I find the iPad's edge too sharp against my palm, so I need a back cover for it. But if you don't mind the edge, naked is very good for the iPad.

If you love the naked feel, why not use just the Smart Cover?

When the iPad Pro is at my desk, I just use an old-school (AA battery) Apple Bluetooth Keyboard. Otherwise, I just use the software keyboard.

As far as software, I like:
- Texture
- OmniOutliner
- MS Word w/OneDrive
- I'm trying to learn OmniGraffle
- Amazon Kindle (especially now that they have modified it for the iPad Pro)
- Evernote

I use an Origami case so I can prop the iPad Pro in Portrait mode when necessary.

Because it's not naked. It's only assless ;) might as well go all out at that point.

Reading this on my new iPad Pro! I'm Rocking the Incipio Farraday cover which is pretty sturdy.
