There are far far fewer typos and spelling mistakes in Lion that on this forum


talk about the kettle calling the pot black


I would not mind but we are all supposed to be using OSX which has a built in spelling checker

Isn't a typo an (ha!) error you type accidentally? Like "Aplpe" or "Coputer"? Whoever wrote this "an" did it deliberately, so wouldn't that be a grammatical error?

I'm not a native English speaker, so I might be mistaken

You are mistaken. A typo is an abbreviation for a typographical error. Any error in spelling is a typo.

Really?

This just seems like a waste of a thread. Firstly, humans are not perfect, mistakes will be made. Considering that this is such an insignificant error that some people do not even know to be wrong, pointing it out is needless. Even popular novels contain spelling errors. Secondly, as said before, if such an insignificant error is the only thing to be brought up, then Apple really is doing it's job well for the most part.

Also the title is unjustly exaggerating the issue as there is only one typo.

BTW have you tried to put the roll eyes emote in in lion it adjusts it for you
