can't be possible since all the stores received the stocks since wednesday. at least in london.
I know the manager well and he hadn't received shipment midday Wednesday and wasn't expecting to receive anything until Friday.

I bought my S from O2 store and they never opened the phone. I had the pleasure in the car park before heading home
Note you can't do anything with the phone without plugging it into iTunes first though.
I want to buy a PAYG so I can unlock it. Apple activate in store and carphone warehouse don't stock PAYG. The only choice it seems is via 02. But they tell me that you have to do a top up procedure. Anyone know why or of any other method?

I bought mine from the apple online store (16GB 3GS) last week - as o2 was out of stock. It said 5 days but arrived in two

When you buy the PAYG in an O2 shop, you'll be handed a sealed iPhone and a sealed SIM pack.
You'll be charged the price of the phone plus £10 for the SIM.
What you do after that is up to you.
