I just called up my local Apple Store and asked if they had the white 32GB iPhone 4s in stock as it's the one I will buy when my contract is available for upgrade next Wednesday. He said yes they have a good amount in stock.

He said they most likely will on Wednesday too when I get mine. He said simply after 9pm on Tuesday night, reserve it online, walk in Wednesday and it'll be waiting for me! :D

I walked into a sprint store last night and bought 2. It seems like the stock situation is limited to online.

Or just scattered areas have no stock in stores so they just make an assessment that most places have none in stock. Which obviously with mine and your cases, not so true.

Interesting

Hmm coworkers told me AT&T sent them a phone in one week.

I walked out of Apple 5th Avenue a week ago with black AT&T 4s in 10 minutes, no reservation, no line to wait on. I found the floor manager and politely asked about the phone. She led me to the no reservation line and I quietly said I have to get to work (true), I will be glad to come back another day though. Next thing I know she led me to a sales agent who got the phone from
the cashiers in the front and I was out the door in 10 minutes.

The best service I ever received in this store.

I have to agree!

I finally decided to go ahead and replace my 3G which managed to survive a full three and a half years of ownership with original glass and all! So I went to my local Apple store this past Tuesday and as expected a lot people inside waiting around. I talked to one of the associates at the door stating that I was interested in getting the new 4S. He mentioned that he did not think they would not have any available but suggested I go online after 9pm to see if by chance there would be any to reserve. So later I did check online and sure enough there were AT&T/White/32GB available. A few clicks later I had reserved my copy. The very next day I go back up there after work and as expected they were packed. I figured I would have to wait awhile to get service. That was not the case. I mentioned to the greeter at the door that I had reserved a 4S online and I was here to follow through with the purchase. She guided me to a place to stand and a few minutes later another associate pulled up my reservation and after that everything went like clock work. I was literally in and out of there in less than 15 minutes!

Now I can officially retire my 3G! :) It's another story why I waited so long to upgrade...
