God forbid anyone should be judged innocent until proven guilty.

Yes, "presumption of innocence" involves showing up in the court to prove "not guilty" - a much lower mark to meet than proving innocence. Let the judge decide.

How do you know she is a "criminal"? And she didn't "flee" to Canada, she owns property in Vancouver.

I don't know that she is a criminal - she didn't flee to Canada, just fighting to stay there and not face the charges.

As for using the "flee" in my post, I am talking about USA residents charged with a crime who flee to Canada to avoid capital penalty. Last I remember, Canada won't extradite these people unless the inhuman capital punishment component is removed.

Canada has been historically the place people avoiding law flee to from the USA, whether it is the draft or the actual criminal proceeding.

Source for China trying to steal technology from Canada?

Yes, I lost the link to the site where China posts all its activities, especially industrial espionage success stories. Will get that to this site as soon as I find it.

Very entertaining post, but the part I almost cry by laughter, was, when I read in your profile that you are from the USA.

Do you have any idea what your government does to other countries all round the world, what your companies do to other companies all around the world?

Like a stone complaining about a rock

Comparing the US to China like that demonstrates extreme naivety and ignorance about China.

What's even more scary, is this is a company technology is being used in Australia

This is just about as bad it can get.

Build up good reputation amoungt customer base, and even other companies you use tech.. them blast everyone with 'one final blow'...

Is that the sort of world we live in? Sounds more like Street Fighter.

Great to know that you are informed about China from independent sources, not western media then. Are you?

To be fair, I am currently not aware of any government who does its best for people, not for elite and companies.

The world always remembers your one goof - not your thousand cool moves.

Huawei's reputation is carefully orchestrated, with the weight of the Chinese government propping it up:rolleyes:. Their quality and finish of the products are great, Apple-esque even. That doesn't make them any less of a spy-wing of the Communist China (supposedly)o_O. Their earlier IP theft/s is hardly talked about now, because the USA government is willing to look away, now.

Same with ZTE.

Yeah, right!

Huawei is shady as hell. They hacked into Nortel for years, stealing all sorts of sensitive material, and strongly contributed to that company's downfall. The more I learn about them, the less I like them.
If you think that just Huawei is shady you must be knew to the industry. Many companies hire former employees of other companies (Apple included) for reasons. If you think Huawei is shady just look at Trump and his inner circle of people. ;)

Would be great if this was the beginning of a crackdown on espionage and illegal activity by the Chinese government against US corporations. It’s a travesty that a government with such vast resources is attacking American businesses with no consequences.

In America we also have what is called the CIA which has been long known to be involved in Espionage and illegal activities for American interests. I believe many countries have people in their country working for their own interests. Russia has the Kremlin/KGB and the lists go on for other countries. Samsung is no angel either. Apple is good or even great but not perfect either. ;)

Don’t be a smart ass to try an win an internet discussion. You either know very little about China or you know they have a really bad track record on human rights and corporate espionage but you don’t care because you’re trying to stick to your original comment. You won’t find many Chinese news sources calling them out for this because those journalists are put in prison.

It is true that you will not find many Chinese News sources calling them out for stuff like this because those journalists are out in prison but Trump and Bolton showed the world we are not all that much better either ;) . Don’t forget the part of we will be taking down names either ;)

Yet you do the same thing, calling your data “a facts”.
Please, do tell your stream of the correct knowledge.

Don’t get me wrong, I have friends in US and all of them are really nice and concerned people, yet the government and media do not reflect that. That gives people a bad image.

So, how many native Chinese people do you deal with on a monthly basis? I deal with most of Asian countries people and Chinese people all the time. When I tell them how west perceives China, they have a good laugh.
They say that is exactly what China says to their citizens about US.

Chinese people have no way of knowing everything that is actually happening in their country because the media is all state controlled and foreign media is banned.

Whatever you say bud. You can hate trump, I'm not a big fan. Trump at his worst cant compete with the **** the Chinese subject their citizens to.

I see, so you say that Chinese people do not know about China, but Americans do?
How about US media? Independent?
Free as a bird? Even our European media do not report the reality in neighbouring countries :) the strikes in Iceland against EU a few years ago was a nice example of “free press”

Anyway, whatever the truth is, the outcome will be a huge problem

I take it you are not being sarcastic. Businesses want to do business in China because it's so big. When will they learn? They end up with stolen I.P. and usually end up losing big money on the venture.
Why would I be sarcastic? This is a serious issue.

WTF are you taking about? You obviously have no idea what's actually going on here. Get wise. The American government spies on other governments. They don't steal trade secrets from foreign corporations for the benefit of American corporations. That's what the Chinese government is doing. They have an entire building, on a military campus, devoted to spying––not on the American government, but American businesses. In order to pump up Chinese businesses with stolen trade secrets and technology.

But thanks for letting me know about this thing we have in America called "the CIA". I'll have to check into that.

We spy on others and others spy on us. We steal from others and others steal from us. In fact some happen to be allies. Should we knit pick which ones are ok and which ones are not..?

I am not saying that I agree with everything the Chinese do and support everything that they do either. I will not claim that the Chinese are perfect innocent angels here. Each side has their points.

Sorry if you don’t understand the difference between governments spying on governments and governments spying on private corporations. But it’s a huge difference.

Sorry if you don't understand that in America the government does the same.

Oh my God, those links you sent are pointless. Yes, our government spies on other governments, and sometimes it’s own citizens. What a revelation! You should totally report this to someone.

That’s very different than stealing the corporate secrets of foreign companies for the purpose of giving those secrets to domestic companies. Which is what the Chinese are doing. How do you not understand that that is what is being discussed right now? I’m gonna have to tap out on this one. Bye.

You really missed the points in the previous posts.
