I think plastic can be great if done right.

Apple almost brainwashed iPhone users to hate plastic when most phones have been built on the same material for years. Even the iPhone 3's were made of plastic partially. Metal would block our signal and would be more rigid internally while plastic can absorb shocks better.

Exactly! Everyone hates plastic phones, but that's what the 3G and 3GS were made of. It's more durable than glass and is great for reception. To be honest though, I think the original iPhone had the best design, a mix of metal and plastic.

Don't listen to anyone that says you should buy now. Two game-changing devices are about to be released, and they will be one-of-a-kind for a whole year. And your GSII will never get updates, btw. Wait for the iP5 and Nexus Prime, then make your decision

This, exactly. However, in addition to the Nexus Prime and iPhone 5, I think another set of phones to watch will be the slew of Windows Phone Mango devices which will be rolling out soon enough (pick whichever one strikes your fancy and compare it). Then you'll be able to make a properly informed decision because all three of those phones will be released and then you can physically compare them yourself.
